Some of my "nearby" cuddlers, were last online visited 2+years ago. What a waste of time and effort this place is.
If you aren't happy with how many people are around you, start spreading the word. Get more people interested, no one here is going to be doing it for you. I'm not sure what "nearby" is for you and if you're only interested in enthusiasts, but if you aren't willing to travel or pay, it might take a bit longer to find what you're wanting.
You are telling me you can’t find anyone in the Greater Austin Area?
Wow. That’s one of the easier markets to find someone in. At least that’s been my experience and I don’t even live there.
The Austin/San Antonio area has lots of active cuddlers. Have you tried limiting your searches to profiles active within the last week or so?
@surewhynot the area you are in has a lot of active cuddlers you might want to refine your search to only show users active in the last week and I don't know what your age range is on your search but maybe broden the age range a bit

Yeah, I’ve been saying for years. The numbers are way inflated for users on this site. You haven’t logged in over two years, and you are showing up in search results? Purge the rolls already.
"Purge the rolls"? This isn't a voting site. Filters exist to only see people who have logged in recently.
Maybe if OP would like to ask questions about how to use the site, they could be directed to the right places or given advice. 🤷♀️ But saying the site is a waste of time and has no users, while complaining on that same site to its users, and without learning all the features first seems an odd move.
I’m actually more satisfied with the searchability on this site than on many others. I don’t ever use the “nearby”, “online” etc from the home page because the options available on https://www.cuddlecomfort.com/search are so useful.
So, how lame is this site? Not very.
I think if you feel the site is lame, or you feel those who may take a break need to be purged, then perhaps you might do some finger calisthenics and press the delete button on your profile. You might feel better then because you have taken action instead of blaming the site or inactive members on hiatus.
As @Comet85 said, this website has been a joy and the experiences have enriched my life.
I live in the Austin area and I can attest to the fact that it's extremely easy to find, connect, and schedule with a cuddler here.... even last minute cuddles.
It actually requires minimal effort, and is not a waste of time at all.

It's certainly harder to find a cuddle in here if you're only searching for enthusiasts , but I'm sure there are plenty of pros in the San Antonio area.
If that's not your thing it's ok but you'll be searching a lot longer. Also as others have mentioned there is a reason the filters exist. You can search people who are closer, in the age range you prefer and who have been on more recently.
