It’s possible it’s going slow due to no profile description?
It takes between and hour and a week and depends entirely on when the small approvals team get to it. There is nothing anybody can do to speed up the process.
A blank profile text is not helpful or best practice, but it's not a dealbreaker in itself. Blank is arguably better than AI slop that could be true of anybody.
It's slightly clunky to downgrade your account from professional back to enthusiast, and it is somewhat unusual, but there is no actual difficulty about doing it if you change your mind in the future.

I am waiting to be approved as well. Is it ok to create a bio written as if I'm a professional already? Im assuming my account isn't visible to others while it's pending but I don't want to make it sound like I am going to try to charge people regardless of approval. Will my bio be considered in determining my approval or not?
@SweetConnect it appears to me that you profile is visible to everybody. If you want you can Mute your profile, which means you won't appear in Search results although people you have messaged will be able to click onto your profile, and also anybody who sees your name in the forum.
Yes it's fine to write your profile while waiting. Just headline it with "doesn't apply until I am approved" or something like that. If members contact you it's fine to reply, but don't give your number, contact anybody off the site or make detailed session arrangements.
Pro approval is above my pay grade but as far as I'm aware the bio is just a binary switch: does it follow the rules of the site or not?

@CuddleDuncan I thought maybe my profile is not visible in a normal search because when I first created my account, I started getting messages pretty consistently. I didn't have a pic or anything. As soon as I applied to be a pro and it has been pending, I haven't gotten any messages or hardly any profile visitors.

Actually, as I think about it, it's probably that I don't appear in the enthusiast group anymore and I'm not in the pro group either, so that might explain the lack of other interaction.
While you're pending approval as a pro you aren't visible in the searches. It's like CC purgatory

If you don't get accepted as a pro, are you just stuck as pending after that? I applied over a week ago in March and now I'm seeing new pros who joined in April who were accepted. So I know they applied after me. I'm not sure what I did wrong. It's really disappointing because I wanted to be able to be a part of this community. I saw recently a pro with one sentence mentioning sensual services. I really don't get this site and how they were accepted and I'm not.

I'm also wondering if the forever pending status is a thing or not since I've heard mixed things about being notified you were denied vs others saying you just won't ever hear anything
@SweetConnect you won't be notified. Either the pending pro approval badge will be changed to a pink professional badge or it will disappear and you will have no badge which means you were not approved and are back to being an enthusiast

@SweetConnect that sentence may have been added by the professional after was approved. Please Report the profile, in general we are not keen on words like "sensual".

@CuddleDuncan I love the word "sensual" and I feel it has been unfairly maligned.....
@beaubliss yeah you're absolutely right. As a private person I think it's a great word and it absolutely does not necessarily imply non-platonic at all.
But like so many good things it's used as a euphemism, so as Moderators we can't give the benefit of the doubt.
