Paying after a session?

I recently got into an argument with someone else who uses the site, because he claims he always pays after sessions, EVERY SINGLE TIME. I told him that's ridiculous because every cuddler I've met accepted payment at the start or needs some sort of deposit. It's also extremely risky for the cuddler because a client can refuse to pay or pay less than the agreed upon price. He doubled down and claimed it's true and that he does it all the time. He's met with more cuddlers than me, but I find it unbelievable, especially for a first time meeting. I want to hear people's thoughts and experiences. Do you allow payment after a session? Has anyone tried to start the session without paying upfront?

  • There is a strict CC rule that payment is required at the start of the session and if the client is unwilling to do that, then the session does not happen.
I would report him, he’s probably exaggerating and the fact that he’s arguing about this means he will push other boundaries and would be an unsafe client. I wouldn’t even consider having a session with someone like that.
Mods are fair, they would review his other activity on the site and make a decision about him.

  • This sounds like someone who just wants to have control. The TOS is clear that payment is required at the start of the session.
In cases where I have cuddled with someone several times the payment kinda slipped to the end mainly because of trust and comfort level with each other.

I agree with @Carrie_Anne - please report him, as he is blatantly breaking the rules which he agreed to in signing up for the site and in booking a session.

And then block him for your own sanity and safety. This is absolutely a form of boundary pushing and has zero business being in this community. If they fight against the easy boundaries, they absolutely will stampede right over the harder ones.

Edit to add: as a pro, it's a good idea to be very well versed in the TOS, the Pro Contract, and the Client Contract. Save the links to them and/or even print them out. If someone online pushes back, share the link and then walk away - it's not your job to make them follow the rules.

  • The OP is not a pro, nor does he play one on TV.

I have on very very rare occasion, over last 4 years, forgotten to get payment first and that's the only reason that it has happened ....I've been lucky that when this happened there was no problem getting the correct payment.
Edit * Oh just remembered ... I had one client years ago that laid first on first session but requested if he could pay after for all other sessions. I trusted him so I agreed. But it was weird and he made it weird. 🤷‍♀️

  • I would volunteer to pay first even if the pro forgets or is tentative about asking. Besides the fact that it is a rule, I want my cuddle partner to feel at ease and relaxed and not worried about me jibbing them.

  • I always say at the start “let’s get the non-cuddly part out of the way!”
