Not looking at your profile?

This hasn’t happened a lot but it did happen recently where I actually had an ongoing conversation with somebody for a few days and they never even looked at my profile. I kind of take that as a red flag and in this case it proved to be accurate because the person deactivated their account for one reason or another shortly after joining. Does anybody else think that’s odd for somebody to continue a conversation with you having never looked at your profile?

    I don't think it's odd. It depends on the person and the conversation. If I'm just answering questions and have no interest in actually getting to know someone than no point reading their profile.

    There are folks i have conversed with whose profiles i havent read. Sometimes people are pretty forthcoming and provide more info about themselves than their profiles

    I probably could’ve written that initial post better but there have been a handful of times when I have been pretty deep into a getting to know you type of conversation with an amateur, or at least a non-professional, and I thought it was odd that they would continue to talk to me but not be interested in all about the profile.

    I wouldn't necessarily read too much into it. I suppose some people either aren't that interested in reading them or don't have the time. I do agree that if the person is invested in getting to form a friendship with you it makes sense to look at the profile but it also depends on what you share with each other through interactions on here.

    How do you know they have never visited your profile? Are you 100% sure this site accurately lists every visitor you've ever had?
