A cuddling position

edited December 2018 in General

I cuddled with someone recently and she showed me a position I didn't know about, which was very comfortable!

Quick sketch:

I was sitting, and she lay between my legs with her head on my chest. Her legs were around one of my legs, with one leg straight and one bent. We wrapped our arms around each other.

It felt like one of those positions where I'm "protecting" the other person. It was lovely to be embraced that way, and have both hands free too.

(Edit: I forgot to add clothes to the sketch, but of course we were clothed!)

  • I wish I could draw this one position a guy tried on me, which was... absurdly comfortable, as odd as it seemed. He was on top of me posed kind of like a frog, it's hard to explain, and I'm sure if I was a smaller person, it wouldn't have felt as good, but I'm one of those weirdos who finds the weight of another human being comforting and very relaxing as long as I can still, you know, breathe.

  • I have been held similar to that before and I loved it. I was the one on top and she had wrapped both of her legs around me. Her hands were free to play with my hair which almost put me to sleep. I like to be held tightly so this position was especially comforting as she could also squeeze with her legs. It was wonderful!

@Lorelei Is this what your froggy position looks like?

I love that one too (as the person underneath), but I always check that the other person is 100% comfortable with it first, since it is quite intimate and involves some trust. But for me it is wonderful to be so close without it being sexual. (And I'm tall so they are on my stomach rather than having any direct "hip" contact).

If the person on top is worried about squashing the other person, they can hold themselves up a little with their knees or elbows.

Edit: Here is a related thread about this kind of position.

  • I love this position. I'm usually taller than my female cuddler. I'm a bit chunky, so I'm soft. I play with their hair. They always start to fall asleep.

  • Obviously I'm on the bottom. I'm the pillow.

  • Your original posted position is pretty close to the lap of luxury. I LOVE giving it (being the lap)!!!

  • If you're both laying flat in your original it looks like the pancake stack with the variation of the top person drawing their legs up to a frog pose. The weight of the person is actually, to me at least, what makes that position so appealing. Similar effect to weighted blankets that are all the rage right now. Compression is an amazing therapeutic benefit of the pancake stack. In fact for me anyway that's why I like the original pose with legs on top of legs, then all parts of your body are under pressure.

If I recall correctly the lap of luxury is more a seated/reclining position but maybe not, haven't looked in a while.

@MaxCuddle & every other larger framed man out there, we smallers do like the weight, at least for 5 minutes or so if not longer. Unless we have a medical condition prohibiting weight from being applied to our frames it is so, so lovely to feel that 'squished' feeling full body. One word for justifying our desire for your full unrestricted weight - calf compression. Ahhh....
