Woman who book Men Cuddlers

edited December 2018 in Pro Cuddling

I’m new to this whole thing, and I was interested in helping out others by lifting their spirits. I’ve been leaning on becoming a professional cuddler. Are there actually woman on here who book cuddle sessions with men? Thanks everyone in advance for the help on this subject! Merry Christmas!

  • Really? That’s a bummer. You think woman would be in need of these services, just as us men do.

  • Most women wouldn't need to pay for the service. There is plenty of guys that would jump to the offer to cuddle any women for free if asked to.

  • I would cuddle a woman for free any day! I love how uplifting it is. I just didn’t know if woman actually reach out to men on here for those purposes.

From what i have heard they sometimes do, but it takes longer for men to get any kind of client base than it does for women. If you want to try it, I suggest going for it! Just know that it might take a while before anyone reaches out.

  • One plausible scenario would be this: A woman who is new to the concept decides to search for a male cuddling professional. She does some searching online and quickly discovers that there are a plethora of available male cuddlers who provide the service free of charge and are available at a moments notice. A little more investigation reveals that there are many males actually paying women for the service. When she finally does find a cuddle partner, she makes $100 per hour. The end.

I'd say a male pro cuddler would be one of the worst businesses to start. The demand, except possibly from bi or gay men, will be close to zero. Women can get all the cuddles they need for free!

  • Thank you everyone! It’s much appreciated

@calineur : Haha that is so accurate. But here are some other plausible scenarios, to complete the picture -

    a) She creates an account on CC and discovers that men would cuddle with her for free. But a lot of messages she gets are creepy. She gets fed up with these messages, deletes her account, decides to seek cuddles in the real world from romantic partners, ends up staying single and not getting cuddles. The end.

    b) She creates an account on CC and discovers that men would cuddle with her for free. She decides to become a pro cuddler to make some money. She gets a few clients, 70% of them expecting more than platonic services, the other 30% momentarily single and lonely and happy with only a platonic cuddle. The 70% never show up again. Some of the 30% find a girlfriend or start dating and stop hiring a pro. Some of the rest still want to hire pro-s after getting a girlfriend, but they don't make enough to hire a pro anymore. The same is the situation with some of the single men - not enough money. The remaining few move to different pro-s or just don't hire a pro often enough. Average amount of money made from cuddling per month - 100$ (around one 2-hour session every 2 months). The end.

    My point being -

Women have their own set of problems as well

    PS:

(A little too long, feel free to skip it)

    a) If cuddling itself becomes more popular, I can imagine professional cuddling companies like cuddleuptome (https://cuddleuptome.com/) springing up in cities around the US. They have a small army of professional cuddlers, a front office with a receptionist and private rooms for cuddling. In such a setup, a professional who gets in danger would be able to get help immediately. This would be similar to cuddle cafes in Japan - https://guff.com/cuddle-cafes-are-becoming-popular-in-japan.
Edit: It would also be easier for the client to trust the pro in such a setting.

    b) I also hope there might be a similar setup but with only non-professional men and non-professional women meeting up and cuddling, knowing they would be safe in a semi-public space.

    c) A lot of women like to cuddle and would gladly cuddle for free, but they have a hard time believing that it is possible to get cuddles without getting into a sexual relationship.

    d) A lot of women do not know that they would be quite happy only with cuddling. Even if they do, they might never come across this website.

The issues in c) and d) would go away if platonic cuddling just for the sake of it becomes more popular and mainstream. Then websites like CC would not have such a lopsided gender ratio for enthusiasts anymore.

  • Thank you patThecuddler.

I've always been a advocate of male pro and will be.
All the reasons you listed and more arr why I'd explore the idea further. Unfortunately the last male pro in England was too far from me.

Whilst those discouraging from becoming a male pro have a point. We shouldn't be so quick to presume lots of messages = lots of cuddle potential far from it in fact I think.
But I guess it depends when one stands what one sees. (Shrugs)

  • I have been extremely discouraged by the amount of coded conversation between myself and non pro men. Even ones who claim to pay professionals because it's either easier or some sort of guarantee that no sex will be involved since every one, with one exception, eventually ended up trying to bed me rather than cuddle me.

I, as a woman, would be more than willing to pay a man for cuddles since I would have the expectation as a paying client that the pro has some sort of verifiable training to back up his pro status along with the full understanding of how non sexual cuddling works. As a formerly sexually abused woman, that conveys another degree of security for me knowing he's a professional so I will really be free to relax and let my guard down trusting boundaries to be respected. In fact I am a strong supporter of establishments like Cuddle Up to Me in Portland. The clearly defined rules to be considered for employment are a refreshing sight in this business also. If ever I decide to go pro that is the exact example I would base my business model on.

I don't allow people to give me back massages or any other sort really, unless they are trained masseuses. Since I have a very sharp curve to my tailbone and arthritis in multiple parts of my body I don't want to risk injury from a well-intentioned individual. So I pay for massages and I trust that my masseuse will not accost me while I'm undressed, touch me anywhere inappropriately or fear drifting off to sleep and the possibility of being groped, since the masseuse is a professional. I pay for both the knowledge of correct touch as well as the security of the vetting process to become a paid professional.

I'm certain I'm not the only woman who feels that way, so yes, male professionals would do well. With both sexes I'm sure. It may be hard in the infancy of the profession but there is absolutely a demand for male professionals also.

Good luck if you do decide to pursue it.

  • @PaulaDahla so I found myself attempting to like your post only to be reminded this isn't face book!

  • Lol. yup, I've experienced the same thing! ;)

  • @PaulaDahla. Lol so think i'll have to refrain from reading your post or reduce my FB consumption. It happened again! :#

  • @PaulaDahla has it right on. I have a female client who tried male enthusiasts first. Safety is a huge issue for women, and there are plenty of reasons to work with a quality professional instead of someone "free". I believe once this is an accepted service for self-care and healing, that women will be a much higher proportion of clients... And male professionals especially will be helpful for those having experienced trauma to heal. Possibly after working with a female professional for awhile... We're just not there yet :-/

Thank you @patTheCuddler for that additional input. I guess I was viewing the picture from my own narrow view based on my own experiences.

There actually was some feeling attached to my comment. Perhaps due to a little jealousy? I mean, the idea of being paid to cuddle is a nice idea, but for many of us it is just so far off from reality that we just don’t entertain it.

@PaulaDahla It really is sad the experiences that you had with “cuddling clients”.

I imagine that there must be some good clients on CuddleComfort, since they are brave enough to be Friends with and write Karma for their cuddling pros following their sessions (though it is of interest to note that some of them do get banned for some reason?).

Although I can’t say that I know what the solution is, but the Cuddling Salon concept in a controlled environment seems like a good idea.

In fact, there are already massage places. Perhaps they could just add cuddling to their services? I have cuddled with massage therapists that I came to know well enough.

The professional cuddlers that I see express their gratitude to me with nice comments. While it does make me feel wanted, it kind of makes me wonder...

  • @Kmack0508

You can find other enthusiasts to cuddle with. It just takes time and effort! Good luck :)

  • I can cuddle any woman for free of cost.. Message me.. I am in san diego.. Feel the warmth of feeling.

  • I didn’t get to read all of the responses, but I read some and most were right on the money. I hope that my story helps your decision. I joined on New Years, probably one of the loneliest day for single people who just had a quiet solitude evening the night before like I did. I have been on several dating sites and it wasnt the solution I was looking for my solitude sadness.I feel unloved and overall lacking of physical personal human contact. I went looking for a professional touch, but I ended up joining CC. I’ve been warmly welcomed, learned that I dont have to pay and that there are plenty of options. However, I also found the attention overwhelming and though everyone, and I do mean everyone, has been polite, warm and surprisingly non creepy, it still felt disconcerting to be on the site. There is something to be said about a professional. I can’t say definitively that I’d jump at the chance, but there’s something about the paying that allows for a neglected woman like myself to feel that it will be all about me and I don’t have to feel guilty for being completely selfish. That would be my buy in. I think cuddling intrinsically leads to a mutual exchange of affection/touching, but if I believe going in that it wasn’t about making sure I did my fair share, I’d like the experience of being just a taker for once. A taker without guilt, a taker without feeling that I was forcing my agenda down someone’s throat, a taker from a willing giver.
So to ill to conclude my drawn out answer, in order for me to try out paying for a cuddler, I would need these criterias:
    1) I’d like to think he was attractive, not bcuz I want more, just my personal preference for the feeling of the experience
    2) because I do genuinely know I can do it for free (to a certain degree) I wouldn’t want to pay a lot. I would try this for $20 an hour. I know that’s cheap, but I’m a woman conditioned by society and myself to think I shouldn’t have to pay for affection and this; therefore, would have to feel like a fee as costly as take out food. An inexpensive experience will help me not feel foolish for the payment. Just being honest
    3) patience. Women are not accustomed to soliciting men, even if we are not the belle of the ball. We are just used to being ignored, but being ignored is still different than trying and paying for a cuddler. Once I made the investment, financially and mentally, to try, I would hope you can make me feel comfortable in my decision. I don’t want to feel desperate or reminded that I paid for this.
    4) that’s all I can think of, I never did this so I can’t say what more I would want expect. Thanks for listening .

  • @bronxchica That's one reason I think women will be a higher portion of clients in the future once this is accepted. Women frequently take on the caretaker role. Going with a professional is the opportunity for it to be 100% about you and no need to worry about the other person's needs.

I also understand the reluctance to pay a lot of money. People still feel like this is something everyone should get for free. There are lots of reasons a professional is worth their time in gold (I think a good thread on that is "pros vs non-pros" or something). But know that I have "worked" for seven hours this week and have grossed $0 (none of that work were sessions). This was a light week for me, coming off the holidays, so not much back-end work and LOTS of family obligations. When you pay a professional for a session, you're paying for a lot more than the time they're spending with you. It's a tougher life (and job) than it seems when you just look at the hourly rate.

You have better odds becoming a Chippendale's dancer or a jiggalo. Literally.

  • I was discussing this with a male friend a while ago and said that I would consider booking a professional male cuddler in the future. I work as a CNA, I'm a nursing student and I am a pro cuddler, so I wonder what it would be like to just get all the pampering and cuddles from someone for once lol
I would feel safer paying for it mostly because I assume there's less of a chance of an attachment and/or cross of personal boundaries.

  • [Deleted User]SweetPeaMN (deleted user)

Male cuddlers are needed and will be in demand. I also agree with @Jade25 for some reason it does feel safer and here in the Twin Cities we have a Cuddlist male professional as well as a CC male professional.

  • @PaulaDahla I have seen female clients before, and would again. I quite often get the sexual assault or abuse in the past women and will love them up even more so than I would a male client because I don’t feel the sexual tension or worry that it will be misconstrued. I highly encourage you to reach out to pros and I believe that if you find one you would like to see, she would lower her rates for you if asked. I know I don’t ever turn down someone who can’t afford the hourly rate. I can’t advertise it because then everyone would ask. If you’re ever near me I’d be happy to snuggle up with ya!

  • Thank you @Suzanne. I honestly don't have any issues with the sex of the person I'm cuddling more so the size and shape if I were completely honest. I agree that I woman probably would be a better first choice for a person leaving a sexual assault/abuse situation.

  • Honestly I'm with a lot of what @PaulaDahla hit on. All the free request I've received has been a bit on the "you kinda creep me out but I just can't pin point why" side. Though I don't quite know how easy it is for someone to be a pro. I would feel more comfortable on like... A verified status. I guess that's what the karma section is suppose to do, but ultimately I would pay to know that the person is qualified, has been verified to be a safe partner, and is truly platonic.

Hello All, I’d like to think that a compilation of most of the comments from this thread paints a pretty accurate picture of the current male pro situation. Thanks to you all for your comments and participation in the forums. I will apologize in advance for the length of this post...
I stand as evidence that there are indeed male pros, but we do seem to be few and far between. Women do hire male pros and yes, being a pro is a much harder job than one may think. However, the therapeutic rewards we see in our clients far surpass the rewards of monetary payment.
It is our job to educate potential clients about our processes regarding consent and boundaries, to be available to answer any and all questions honestly and openly and to take as much time as a potential client needs (beforehand) for them to feel safe and secure in their decision to book a session with us. It is equally important to spend this unpaid time to fully inform and prepare our clients (and ourselves) for the session in advance, and to follow up after a session, as is the paid time we spend with them during the cuddling session itself. A pros heart absolutely HAS to be in the right place with the desire to provide our service for the right reasons.
My clients hire me to take care of them and their cuddling needs during a session and to guide them, if needed, during the session. It is my job to provide them with as much information as is needed for them to know without question that they are entering a safe, purely platonic haven in which they can confidently allow themselves the vulnerability needed to fully surrender to the warmth, attentiveness, peacefulness and security of an amazing cuddling session. It is incredibly rewarding to receive immediate feedback during a session as well as the “Karma” that follows. Don’t you just love helping people feel great?
    Happy Cuddling everyone!
PS - @laylanie i wish I had an opportunity to meet you in Charlotte! I was there from January 3rd to February 25th. Missed ya by that much!

  • @PDXAgapi this is a good thread to give you an idea of what to expect.

  • Most certainly woman hire male cuddlers. I just recently had a session with a pro and he was just what I was hoping to get. A compassionate, caring, and just professional individual. We mostly had conversation however he was truely a professional with a good heart and he did everything possible to assure I was comfortable and enjoyed his services. Sometimes I believe we all forget at times its good to be hugged and appreciated.

  • well said Kitten21. <3
