A short film on a professional cuddling session

I saw this short film and I have been thinking about it since - (10 minutes long).

Spolier Alert - the text from here onwards contains references to various events that happen in the movie:

Does this reflect a realistic cuddle session? As in, do some people reject touch even after hiring a pro?

Did the pro do the right thing putting her hand on her client's belly without asking first? - I was surprised to see that, she was being pretty cautious before that. On that note, is she a good pro? Does the actress realistically portray a professional cuddler?

I am happy to see a woman identifying her need for comforting touch and hiring a pro - on most cuddling websites, it is usually a male client and a female pro. I am not sure why more women do not seek the services of a pro.

    Yikes.

    This is not how my cuddle sessions go, but I can't say if it's how others' sessions are or not.

    They chose to portray a professional who doesn't know how to handle this type of session very well, and a person trying to be vulnerable but needing defenses instead because of the very new professional. This seems over dramatized to intentionally create a far less than ideal session. They portrayed an insecure professional untrained for putting clients at ease and listening, and being overall comforting, which is what we're hired to do with or without touch. She's enthusiastic and has potential to be very good with training if she's an actual professional cuddler rather than a good actress portraying one in the film :)

    How does a session go - a brief bit of information from my types of cuddle sessions: Some clients are new to cuddling and can be nervous (completely normal, btw, it's actually weird to not be nervous when new :) ) or are feeling like less touch is good for them at the time(s) they see me. As the professional, my job is to be safe, warm, and engaging and put clients at ease with or without touch. Most of the time this involves listening and learning about our clients as well as **hearing what they're seeking cuddling for **(a lot seek out cuddling for reasons other than touch). During a session, I do the majority of the thinking/planning work for/during the cuddle and craft a session that's geared to my clients' comfort first and foremost. If they come in knowing what they want and which positions they like best, I follow that; if they're new and don't yet know, I plan it out in a flexible style using positions that are easy to get into and can be evolved into more complex positions if that becomes comfortable for the client to do. I don't like the cuddle sutra very much at all and believe it's a poor introduction to cuddling so I don't use it; instead, when someone is new to cuddling I have a couple starter positions I switch between for warming up and easing them into it. After that, the session flows.

    "do some people reject touch even after hiring a pro" - yes, some will reject touch and some will be more reticent and need to be eased in. There are multiple ways to have a positive session regardless and our job is to put the client at ease. You can connect without including touch, and connecting tends to be what clients seek through cuddling, and a properly trained professional knows how to do this.

    "is she a good pro" - in my opinion, no. I think she's enthusiastic, but she isn't a good professional cuddler. Training might help but there also seem to be some deep-seated issues with her to treat a client as portrayed in this video. Of course, I think this was dramatized by a good actress and not by a professional cuddler so there's that monkey wrench. :)

    "Does the actress realistically portray a professional cuddler" - Maybe a very new/green professional, but I hope not. This can be prevented with training, and she doesn't portray me or the cuddlers who trained me.

    Women do seek out professional cuddlers. Not sure if you wanted input on that.

    I wouldn't want a cuddle session to start off or move the way this one did, and at no point should a professional bring insecurities into a session. I suspect this was over-dramatized for effect, but I can't fathom why this was created so not sure what the goal was.

    Final, more random thoughts: I was intrigued by the over use of jewelry and uncomfortable-looking head gear as well as the full-face make up the professional was wearing and kept on for a cuddle session. Maybe this was a clue that this isn't an actual professional ;) That and the satirical use of breathing (full hands and arms as she obviously "deep breathed" incorrectly HA!) This detail tickled me as well as the questionnaire bit. I lol'd; very campy, and then the super cringey, very guy-like "no homo" situation that was thrown in. I'm thinking now that satire/humor is the likely goal of this based on how cringey and over-the-top it was.

    It was awkward at times and she definitely made a number of mistakes, but I don't think she is terrible. She is a kind, understanding, and empathetic person in general. She wants to listen and provide peace for her client. That's a lot more than many "pros" I hear about :-/

    Im new to this site and i was looking at the forums to get an idea. First ghing I came across was this post. I didnt bother to watch the video even though my intent was to figure out what to expect from a cuddle session. I read pinklipstick22 post and got a fairly good idea what to expect at a professional level.

    This puts me more at ease since this cuddling thing is pretty new to ne.
