Cancellation or miscommunication

I believe I booked my first session today for 5 p.m. at 12. So I started getting ready because the drive was an hour and a half out and I needed to do my hair and makeup. So I was about to leave to come and I called the cuddler to let him know I'm leaving for our session and he said that he was never able to book the place where was the cuddle at. Does that count as a cancellation.

  • Sorry to hear about this. As I understand the cancellation policy here, the client owes you half the session price. Hopefully he understands this also and has offered to pay half the session or at a minimum reschedule very soon.

  • Yes, that would qualify as a cancellation. How much notice did he give you? I always take deposits for cuddle sessions now because before I had so many flakes.

Why are you doing hair and makeup for a cuddle?! Don't you intend on getting close? Will you offer him laundry service if makeup transfers?

Did you confirm with him in advance as well? If not then no, it doesn't qualify.

Why are you doing hair and makeup for a cuddle?! Will you pay for cleaning if there is makeup transfer? Or do you just not plan on getting close?

It is the pro's responsibility to confirm in advance also. That doesn't mean an hour and a half before. To be reimbursed for lost time on your part you wouldneed to have confirmed through messages here at least 12 hours in advance also. Especially if he warranting the space.

    Miscommunication.

    Lesson learned, move forward.

Per the Client Service Agreement, a client is supposed to pay a cancellation fee if they cancel a session no more than 12 hours prior. I missed the part where sessions are required to be confirmed at least 12 hours in advance for this provision to take effect. As it stands right now, a session confirmed through site messaging is considered confirmed, regardless of the prior time gap. However, one would be correct to say that this could be abused.

In any case, if @NiaStar209 chooses to report the client in question, it shall be investigated and handled accordingly.
