Theres no activity here. A week in and no replies. Cool concept, nobodies interested though.
Have you done...the ritual?
One of us. One Of Us. ONE OF US! oNe oF uS!
What ritual
I’m not getting any request either. I thought this was a great idea too
@ken2017
The ritual.
It’s not spoken of often, and for good reason: it carries a high price. Some would say that it’s too costly—that, in hindsight, they’d rather contend with unending loneliness and yearning for even the slightest touch.
I...can’t say any more. For the sake of those who might already be far too intrigued by what I’ve said. I won’t have their blood on my hands.
It can take a while for some people, depending on where you live. I have met up with several cuddlers on here...I could not have met these ladies any other way. They have been very good experiences for the most part...
I would be interested to hear what these gentlemen are writing to introduce themselves to prospective cuddlers. I hope it is more than I am here you can cuddle me now.
Wait.... Mrskunknugget would you cuddle with you? Or with some one with no bio, seriously?
Or read your screen name and let your imagination run. No offense just think thru your presentation of you.
Even a large population center like metro Detroit has few active members. Most who catch my eye have been dormant for weeks or months.
I ask myself if a Pro is worth $100 per hour platonically. Around here that gets u a professional massage+
Is it April Fools Day already?
Ok ok you got me!
I get the perceived disconnect: the public propaganda basically says - "we're here to cuddle YOU now", while the members' message is "we only cuddle when we are safe". The Outside impression that you can simply walk-in (sign up) and get a cuddle, just isn't real. Whether on this site or in real-life person, the ritual is to build a relationship through communication. The difference being, on this site, we agree to limit the relationship to platonic cuddling; in real-life, the limit is between you and the other's imagination.
I'm sure your username has nothing to do with it.
@Rexagon - You make good points. Another thing it says on the sign up page:
"You send them a message but you won't need to worry about how to word it - they already get it. They’re here for the same reason you are; to cuddle and nothing more."
There have been lots of posts and threads, particularly by women, who don't agree that "you won't need to worry about how to word it." First messages asking -- or worse, expecting -- a female nonprofessional to cuddle with a total stranger immediately are unrealistic. A lot of women on the forum have expressed a need to get to know someone first and have discussed safety issues related to cuddling strangers in detail. Anyone who signs on here believing they will get a cuddle immediately is sadly mistaken.
Yeah, I agree with Blueiris, some of us women (like myself) have been both sexually and physically abused by past relationship partner's and are lonely as all hell so we sign up to vet through potential cuddle mates... But always with that little voice of anxiety in the back of our minds "crap... Is this even really safe? The last person I let get this close to me hurt the hell out of me... And swore they wouldnt... How do I know this new person is any different?" It takes A LOT to manage to get over that voice of over-self-preservation because it helped us survive our abusive situations.... So for someone to expect us to just cuddle after a few chats back and forth is also unrealistic in my opinion. Build a relationship with me, I'm not a doll you use and throw away, I'm a human being and I need to be,convinced since I'm doing the same thing you are: fighting back my anxiety in an effort to establish comforting contact with another living breathing human being.
I have said this before, and it is worth repeating. Just because this is a cuddle site does not mean everybody is going to necessarily be chomping at the bit to cuddle, nor does it mean that they are necessarily going to want to cuddle with you in particular. People are people, this is not like going to starbucks and ordering a drink. Still need to use your people skills and your words to build rapport and trust.
Me FunCartel, you pro. Let’s cuddle.
The above works everytime.....trust me. The only time it doesn’t is when it doesn’t. Yet again I have my pulse on the cuddling world.
I think puzzle @MrSkunknugget put in this post is positive vibes ;-) that’s what’s been given here! @FunCartel , @pmvines , @UKGuy , @shadowykitten , @BlueIris , @chococuddles , @Esquire , @Rexagon , @caringtouch , @laylanie , @ken2017 , @hogboblin , @SlimJay1984
@MrSkunknugget you literally have nothing on your profile. Where you have been given the opportunity to make a positive second impression by writing a personal "sales pitch", the reader recieves a blank. You didn't even put the city where you live. You ask too much and give too little. Don't dismiss an awesome site after putting in a bare-minimum effort. Even a fat, ugly middle-aged guy like me has found multiple quality cuddle buddies- after some time and effort.
