Meeting at an adult shoppe? Experiences or thoughts?

edited March 2019 in General

I was recently asked to meet with a man at an adult shoppe. It is assumed this kind of business would offer sex toys, lingerie, sex videos, etc. I don't know, maybe they instead offer flowers, books of poetry, and a diverse selection of teas.

Anyroad, he claimed that it had a safe, private room with a couch and a lock on the door. I declined, as it seemed too dodgy, unfamiliar, and possibly unsafe.

Doesn't it seem that an establishment which openly promotes sex, is perhaps not operating in the same spirit as we platonic cuddlers?

I have not visited one of these places, so my unfavourable opinion is based solely on speculation without any evidence or experience.

BUT perhaps my bias is wrong.

Has anyone ever had positive experiences cuddling at one of these places? If so, and in your personal experience, do you consider an adult shoppe to be a viable option for pro cuddlers to meet with clients?

Thank you! ♥️

    @VictoriaRose

Maybe someone else will come around to offer their perspective...but I think this is highly, highly sketch. Why, regardless of where the meeting is taking place, would anyone want to meet for the first time in a locked room? And yes, "adult store" typically refers to a place where sexual media, paraphernalia and apparatus is purchased. I've never heard of it being described as otherwise. Meeting for a cuddle is intimate, and I would not trust someone who needed to meet in such a space, let alone without others around and the opportunity for a safe exit.

You did the right thing in turning down a joker like that and should report him via his profile for this kind of request.

To exercise utmost precaution, I think it's best to meet in a neutral, public location like a park or coffee shop where others will be around, and there isn't any room for ambiguity. Plus, it'll be easier to part ways if you discover that you're not really getting on and don't want to continue further.

  • @VictoriaRose - If you thought it was perfectly innocent, you probably would have gone. But you knew deep down that it wasn't, so you didn't. Your sleaze radar is operating at 100%. I agree with @Catloaf. Report that person. He should not be here.

  • It was likely an adult video store or swingers club or something that had private rooms to rent and mess around in. Not very sanitary in my opinion so i havent tried that, but i do know of their existence.

Everyone, look at Victoria's profile pic #3 and tell me she's not pulling our collective leg.

  • @Catloaf thank you for your detailed response and insightful comments. I shall steer clear of adult shoppes as a place to meet or cuddle.

Thanks also to other kind souls who contributed to the topic on adult shoppes. ♥️

@Esquire I really can't fathom your comment. Piccie #7 was taken at a dance where I posed with one of the dancers. I play bass in a swing band. ☺️

  • @Esquire who hurt you or put nails in your cornflakes? Take a hike, man.

Interestingly enough @Catloaf , @Esquire already took, a hike earlier today when he deleted his account after going on a rant on a different thread. Perhaps he will do the same after ranting a bit on this thread too.

    Brothels ain't too shabby either.

I remember a pro telling me she also does foot fetish sessions and meets the client at one of these adult arcade areas. Maybe it isn’t the worst place to meet if neither you or the client can host.

  • Guys, guys. You seriously underestimate the ambience of roach infested strip clubs that haven't been renovated since the 80s. Get with it.

Perhaps your pictures are renumbered I saw a naughty French maid outfit not suited to this site.

Had a look at the OP's profile just to be sure and while I guess you could describe the maid outfit as "naughty" it isn't actually on the list of things she offers to wear for bookings. And on top of that, she has a list of things she offers to wear for bookings? and it seems more like a silly and fun list rather than sultry and "fun"? almost like stuff like that puts people at ease, acts as an initial icebreaker AND weeds out the real pervs.

  • The nose knows. These places are known to smell badly...

I agree with Zundar, but no offense intended, I think your picture #3 is an invitation to this kind of person. It's certainly not modest.
