WTF?!?!? @harmonyheart247

Sooooooo… profile was a little suspect from the start, but I said hello anyway, just for fun (I say hello to a lot of people - it's a numbers game for sure as a guy). She responds late yesterday, very benign and then I check back on the profile - should have screen shot (probably against TOS), but I was blown away:

Only writing on the profile was : "Adult film actress" and her "likes to cuddle while" --> dollar sign emojis

Had about 5 or 6 pics up, one of which was topless with just her hands covering her breasts.

So I reported the account, how did it last that long??? Does CC run fake profiles to test users?

I think that @Mark and team have better things to do than create fake profiles. They do use test accounts for trying out implemented features on the site and such, but these are labeled as such with "test" in the username. You probably came across somebody trying to sell sexual services or at the least advertising someone who does. Since the recent passing of laws and shutdowns of certain websites where people used to be able to advertise this stuff, there's just been a huge influx of these types of characters who think they can fly under the radar here. It won't be the first profile and it won't be the last. Not all profiles who join are showing up on the new users page, and I doubt they have time to check every single one that is being created.

He's not a snitch. Were trying to keep this website.platonic only. If you have an issue with that, than leave.

agreed @Catloaf I was surprised how long the profile had been up - at least 24 hours, although, I don't know how long the scandalous stuff was up as it wasn't there yesterday morning, it was added sometime after the first time I saw the profile.

Thank you @CherylL I hope that @Esquire 's comment was sarcasm, but at the same time wish people would take the serious issues seriously. We as a village have to be diligent to get this site to be what is intended to be and then maintained at that standard and that takes everyone doing their part.

  • So very well said @TouchIsTLC ... "It takes a village to raise a child"... or in CC's case, a newborn rather. ?

  • It was sarcastic but I do question the pervasive holier than thou attitude, cloaked in the "protect the industry", (or website).

The truth is that there is a lot of sexual activity facilitated by this site.

  • So @Esquire you find it hard to believe that anybody would actually want to foster a space where men and women and et al can be close without inspiring a sexual overture? How is anything "cloaked"? I think you may be projecting a bit.

CC doesn't exist to cater to the sexual crowd. Mark did not set up this website for people to come here and find hookups, sex workers etc. and he and the staff do a pretty damned good job of making sure that the intent is communicated clearly. The mods do an awesome job of making sure the right minds are with us and the questionable ones are out. There is a difference between intentional facilitation, and unintentional facilitation. Yes, the truth is that there are a lot of people who are going to come here and break rules; that doesn't mean they're welcome. If you want an example of intentional facilitation, go check out some other sites such as CuddleUp.

@Esquire I'm not sure what in my post was "holier than thou..." I don't have a problem finding sex if I want it, it is MUCH harder to find platonic cuddling partners and so I for one am very appreciative of this site and it's mission statement/goal.

As @Catloaf said, I'm not aware of any INTENTIONAL facilitation of sexual activity on this site, people are people and they will do as they wish, but the majority of the members here, the mods, the creator of the site and it's intended purpose in no way condones sexual conduct by its members. Even to the point that if any members from the site connect on a more than cuddle level, they are asked NOT to bring it here as to not blur the lines. Perhaps she was right in pointing out that perhaps you, @Esquire , are projecting a bit (or a lot as it seems).

EDIT: interesting phenomenon - after starting this thread I've been viewed by over 20 males from all over the country. lol... curious.

@TouchIsTLC It looks like that account was banned a few hours after it was reported. Either so, fast responses to reports are not always guaranteed. It usually mentions that it takes us up to 48 hours to action reports, though such is not always the case.

@Esquire that's a pretty strong statement on your part. As @Catloaf and @TouchIsTLC have stated, no sexual activity is intentionally facilitated by this platform, and those who come with such intent are not welcome.
