The Lonliness Factor in the US

After reading this article, I think choosing to be a cuddler is a good idea.
I know as a society we've definitely isolated ourselves. however I had no idea how bad it was. I have been noticing a trend of people not wanting to meet face to face anymore. Sometimes I think it's backlash from the 80s and the 90s where there seem to be so much conflict and violence. But avoidance and isolating is no solution and I know this. I too am guilty of doing a lot of the same things.

This morning I watched some old footage of the end of the Vietnam War. My dad was drafted and I know that as a child of that war, the after effects affected me 4 years. As a daughter of a war veteran I know the damage that it can cause families and how it can tear families apart. I guess as a society we have to do better than this. Mmaybe cuddling is where it starts. The article is below.

Excellent article. Thanks for posting it. In my case, I have little social interaction because I work from home - which is a growing trend. I save time and avoid traffic and wear and tear on my car, but I have little contact with people other than by email or an occasional phone call.

We need to start a group. How about the lonely hearts club band? :p

  • @CherylL You are certainly right about the rise of loneliness and the loss of human interaction. Like you, I feel that cuddling is a positive way to help turn that around. Yesterday I decided to "downgrade" my profile from paid professional to non pro cuddle girl. I felt that would help me reach more people. ♥️

It’s hard to trust people. You don’t know if they’ll hurt you or not.

@twinklepistol: I'd say you know—they will. You just don't know when, in what way, how bad it's going to be, and whether they'll do it on purpose or by accident.

...Yeah, it's really hard to relax around people. I'd say it's worth the gamble, though.

  • @DarrenWalker That statement slightly reminds me of that (probably misattributed?) Bob Marley quote that flies around in every corner of the internet: “The truth is, everyone is going to hurt you. You just got to find the ones worth suffering for.”
