n. Pleasure derived by someone from another person’s misfortune.
It should be abundantly clear—to anyone who isn’t exceptionally dull—that the topic of this thread isn’t about deriving sexual pleasure from another person’s misfortune.
It’s not uncommon for a person to bring their troubles into a cuddle session. Have you, dear reader, ever been delighted by a cuddle partner’s misery, or the physical pain they might have been experiencing? If so, could you describe the feeling? How often do you experience this? Do you actively seek it out? Do you ever feel guilty afterwards?
Note: This thread is not about whether or not schadenfreude is a thing. It’s not about trying to paint oneself as noble, or good, for not experiencing schadenfreude. It’s not about criticizing those who do experience schadenfreude.
Edit: added additional questions, because the one I initially asked wasn’t enough, apparently.
