N00b! :)

Hello Everybody -

As the title suggests, I am brand-new to this. I've read all the FAQs, posts, several blog threads and writings of some of the professional cuddlers who are frequent contributors here (thanks, @Catloaf & @MissX !) I've researched & gathered as much info as I could.

I'm looking for advice beyond all this. Specifically in a couple areas:

  • I'd really appreciate feedback from female cuddlers, both Pro & non-Pro, on how my profile "lands" with you. I'm serious about this, and want to actually do some cuddling rather than wasting a lot of everyone's time talking about it but not having it happen. If there's anything off-putting in my profile I'd like to know about it sooner rather than later so that I can correct it.

  • I'm really hoping to provide quality cuddle time as well as receive it, on a mutual/free basis, so any advice in that area would also be very well received.

  • Having said that, it seems clear that I'm going to need to pay for at least a few professional sessions so that I can get some good reviews/Karma scores and establish a track record of being safe, courteous, and respectful. Would you agree? I've already requested one booking from someone who seems safe & kind, and I'm planning to request another booking or two just in case that one falls through. Seems like there may also be some good things to learn about the process from the Pro cuddlers on this site.

  • Not to sound desperate or anything, but I have been so starved of kind/compassionate human contact for so long that I feel like I'm reaching a critical point. I need this. But I certainly don't want my profile to come off as desperate to female cuddlers, and if it reads that way now I would really appreciate feedback on how to correct that.

Thank you all for reading this, and for any advice/suggestions/responses you might have to offer.

  • Since you're in Los Angeles, I would recommend attending Cuddle Sanctuary since I was in a similar situation a few years back (desperate for touch) and their weekly events were just perfect for getting over any hangups through the exercises they do before all events.

  • I know its hard to be open about these things but looking at your profile i do appreciate how genuine and open u are about how you feel. I see physical touch as neccesary as food and water and while some might see it as "desperate" I see it as you being someone who needs a good cuddle buddy. I hope you do connect with someome to help you soon. I agree with @Fredrick_Hugs maybe some events can help you. Stay genuine and keep being yourself.

Welcome! I definitely suggest sending a couple of messages out to various folks. And I mean PLENTY because the more you send, the closer you are to a YES! :)

AND I have seen folks who booked me to have a session and ask for good karma.! That's never a problem for me, just always make sure to request and do the same. As a pro, I don't carry as much karma on this site because I generally give karma to those who request and ask for the same back. I know some folks would rather to keep their profile less visible.

  • If I were to nitpick your profile, and this is strictly nitpicking and far from the gospel, I might drop the last paragraph. It is that last paragraph that can be interpreted negatively. The vibe it could possibly give a female cuddler is one of hostility toward women and/or the other problem is you seem to go too far out of your way to say your celibate and you would not try anything sexual. Actions speak louder than words and while I am not saying that is your intent, some might construe it as such. But I am a pessimist regarding human nature, so you can take that any way you want to.

Good luck on your cuddle journey, and carry an epi pen in case of oxytocin overload. ?

  • @Fredrick_Hugs : Thank You! I hadn't really even considered that events for this would even exist, but in LA, I guess there are events for EVERYTHING. I just kinda wish my old BurningMan tribe still did the occasional (platonic) puddle-pile, as I got very used to that for a while, which makes my current situation even more difficult to handle ...

@PlushandPerfect : I appreciate your words of encouragement; it wasn't easy to be tat open & vulnerable, but that just where I'm at right now and I'm glad you feel like it landed well.

@stellarosass : Thanks, and Yes, I have been sending a bunch of requests! I've had an initial session and it went really well, with the added benefit that I slept like a BABY that night! :)

@FunCartel : Appreciate your feedback, and I've heard that from a couple other people also, so I have just dropped that entire paragraph; if it comes up in conversation I can always address it later if necessary. Epi Pen - LOL :)

Thanks all for your thoughts & feedback. VERY appreciated!
