What made you leave CC

I've taken a break from this section of the forums due to the constant back and forth which seems to be going on and would rather not be a part of it any longer, but now that I've got droves of folks viewing my profile every couple minutes in light of the show I feel the need to clarify myself here. And on a thread that ultimately should have stayed on topic rather than be boomeranged at me in particular because of an honest comment I made about my experience here at the beginning of the year.

From the very start I've been public on a few threads about the fact that I was banned and was subsequently allowed to return. The exact reason for my ban was because I came in the forums and I made some fairly generalised input... I also admit that I operated at one point as an untagged pro because I was wary of signing up with a real name, and I didn't like the idea of my account being audited in what I viewed at the time to be a dictatorial fashion. As for this account, I hadn't upgraded for a month after I joined because I only came back to get a feel of how I liked the community, and eventually the mods in faith of policy decided to pause my account and push me the application page, so I decided "why not". In my earliest days though I was like many of the people who stomp in here on the forums with an "adults can do what they'd like, who are you to say..." kind of attitude. I had a view of CC being very pedantic in comparison to other social cuddling sites who allowed you to set your own boundaries, and decide what you were comfortable with. When I started hearing of abuse, and meeting abusive individuals in those spaces who were not being reprimanded by the site admin, of course I actually saw what the good was in CC - that they take reports against non-platonic misconduct seriously. At the time I admit that I also didn't do the work to separate myself from an image which allows the general populace to easily misconstrue this movement. Over time I saw the purpose of the rules in place here. They are made to remove any uncertainty, any chance for abuse to occur, and to better protect us.

When I attempt to log into the last account I created in order to basically troll and somehow "prove that I could get around a ban", the reason for the given ban verbatim is:

I will be in whole agreement of that when I look back on how I conducted myself at the time. How am I conducting myself now after some introspection and some time away? Like others may speculate, my removal from the site was not for proven solicitation of illegal activity, though there was suspicion of such because of a profile I had on another site. As of early last year I no longer use said site given its mishandling and obvious pandering to those who provide sexual services. I've made poor choices, but I have learned from them very well, and I've talked about this many times. Action against me could have been taken at any time between January 2018 and now. I don't mind if an investigation was done based on an old comment; we have to keep the site safe. I was grateful that @Mark and team, knowing who I was and what I had done in the past, were clement enough to allow me to come back and allowed me to stay in light of today's pollice verso, as someone else so eloquently and symbolically put it.

I see a specific subset of the forum populus is in search of more fruitful topics, yeah? And in the pursuit of one we managed to resurrect an oddly specific dead thread, and there was following input which was more likely to facilitate more drama and derail it from its original point...once again. And this time the debate subject was me! How peculiar.

The catloaf is now badly burned but thankfully crawling out of the oven, and carrying on!

  • @Catloaf Uh, you seem to inject more drama in your second to the last paragraph after a rather involved treatise absolving yourself of past sins. People deserve second chances but you seem to want to stir the pot. Care to elaborate?

  • Geez. Give it a rest. People should be applauded for growth and owning past mistakes.

  • "Geez. Give it a rest. People should be applauded for growth and owning past mistakes."

Unless they don't produce income for the site and / or are Male. To quote from X files, "The truth is out there".

  • @Worthy It would have been rested. But she came in and insinuated that there is some sort of conspiracy against her. So she made a mistake and changed and can then say whatever she wants? I have made mistakes in the past and changed can I say whatever I want without being questioned? Geez.

  • @HoneyBooBoo Most of my inquiries and booking requests come from online classified ads, not here. I've got 3 karma here from people who successfully got a booking with me, and of those 3, I've made no more than probably $50 for the website after currency conversion. I'm not very busy at all on CC due to the fact that most profiles in my area have signed up with the intent of finding enthusiasts, or something which isn't allowed and they were later brought to the attention of the mods. Trust me, the site stands to lose next to nothing by banning me so enough with the thought that being male and being an enthusiast has anything to do with the decision-making. It just happens to be male enthusiasts who show their arses and then make no attempt to atone for it.
