I like daffodils, because they remind me of the Spring I was six, and we lived in Maryland.
There are so many beautiful flowers in the world, but since I have these growing in my back garden, I'll vote for Lantana.

Geraniums. In summer, if you forget to water them, but they are not quite dead, they tend to recover well once water commences. When I was just a pumpkin of a kid, my grandmother had Geraniums in pots in her parlor. It smelled like a greenhouse, in a good way.
