Why does it say for some profiles “0 miles away“? I highly doubt they are. Anyone know. Any clue? ?

I seen people in the same city and it stilll shows a few miles, 0 miles means they’re very close. I’d asssume
@BashfulLoner interesting. Same here, just checked. I think back then when I’d search for others, which I didn’t do much, I’d notice that. Though, now I definitely do. Maybe the ones with “0” are super close. Or it’s due to some other reasons... preventing their distance from registering.
Edit: I think they are pretty close. Though, to keep some anonymity it’s given a range in which if the person is close, it doesn’t say so. end of edit.
What it means is you were looking at one of your fake profiles....
I think even fake profiles will have to register a location, i know i had some sort of vpn browser that i was using and i couldn’t access the site. But I’m not a computer guy so this is all conjecture.

@Morpheus when I was a kid, we used to listen to the radio where I lived. I used to think there were mini seats in the radio, and that the people talking stepped away from their seats. So, every time it was on, I’d look through the tiny holes to see if there were people coming to sit. Then, I grew out of it.

is the mileage based on the city you put or the location the site detects (if the site detects location at all? i don't know if this is the case and wouldn't want to put folks in a panic if that's uneasy). I think LA, being a huge area, would be weird if it was listed as 0 miles on a profile user that was on the other far end of the city.
@StellaLiz no worries! Thanks for your input. It can create a bit of issues I suppose. Though, it helps to just talk with the person in whatever the city to determine location, anyway. I was just curious as it seemed odd to show a higher number for some in the same city.
Hey guys, I was told that your own profile will say 0 miles from yourself and that the location feature is not so accurate... I notice the mileage change when I go to California from Nevada but I once cuddled with someone visiting from Texas and it still showed over 2,000 miles away even though we were cuddling 0 miles from eachother.
Probably means same zip code (in US) or postal code (elsewhere). Either way they are geographically desirable.

@cuddle4health It would still show 2000 miles if they never changed their location on their profile. I do not change my location because I travel so much and I would be doing it all the time if I did, so it will show hundreds or thousands of miles even when a cuddler is in the same room. This website is not a gps tracking item.
I have noticed that it seems to mean they are less than a mile away since I have never seen .5 miles or any other decimal.

@RajafromNJ it does it for other people, as well. While for some in the same city it shows a more believable distance. It’s alright though, I was just trying to make sense of it.
@Lovelight: It's one of Gary Larson's Far Side comics. I'm pretty sure it's in this book somewhere—but not 100% sure, because it's been a while since I saw my Dad's Far Side collection, and he may have a different one.
