"Think about it guys" discussion closed. NO EXPLANATION?

Dear @SoulcuddlerZ I know your job is hard enough but...Yes this was a contentious topic. And yes the OP was completely wrong! But...was it proving devisive of the CC community. No. In fact it was actually building communication and consensus among the community...in the face of an irrational so called Christian bigotry. That will continue to exist whether you close discussions on it or not.

Hell (pun intended) it was worth it for @respectful sane, kind and considered CHRISTIAN response alone.

Now the thread may well have run its course. And may well have needed closing...but...I think it is infinitely preferable when you state WHY you close a Discussion.

Otherwise it can just look like "These are my toys and I don't want to play anymore" on your part.

Just saying.

    It was a slanderous accusation of illegal actions in the original post. I would have closed it too if it was my site. Again not everything is about you.

    I just figured no one could ever say anything on that subject that topped my genius contribution. Though it would have been nice if @SoulcuddlerZ had said so, modesty forbids me from insisting.

    @HappinessHenry No, I do not find you irritating, only your self-absorption. Just being honest since you wanted to know. I am sure there are plenty of things you do not like about me and that is ok. I know I am not going to please everyone, nor am I interested in pleasing everyone. You have to live as yourself before you can truly give to others authentically.

    I was disappointed in the sense that the OP seemed to be grappling with some issues that may have been helped before he continued his self destructive thoughts. His take on religion aside. But i think that was also his way of coming to terms with his issue, and that without honest open guidance is just as destructive.

    @BashfulLoner But I do not think it has anything to do with his thoughts. I think it has everything to do with calling Cuddle Comfort a site for prostitution. You do not want to earn a reputation based off unwarranted slanderous accusations.

    @FunCartel i agree it was a misguided statement by the OP, but once people got past the defensive stance on their opinion on religion and their view of the site it came to a point where the truth behind his plight was revealed. He was struggling with depression and an unhealthy relationship with porn. His thoughts were sick and he came to the sight recognizing he had an issue. The same reason he reached into his religion to find a way out of his darkness.

    I think it could and was becoming productive. He wasn’t ready to have a cuddle relationship but he did recognize that he needed one. I think we could have helped.

    @BashfulLoner Sorry, but that is inconsequential to the main concern about the site. Misguided or not, if you own a business of any kind you would be leery of someone who casually slanders the business because they have personal issues. He is creating issues for the business. And he doubled down by making it about the business engaging in a criminal activity. By closing the thread the site was merely playing a bouncer throwing the drunk out of the bar.

    While i see your point partially, i don’t agree with the action. It’s not the first thread that’s made the claim and many comments are made regarding the same issue. The accusations by some of the users cannot be refuted if it’s not discussed. It also ignores that people are using the site for that exact purpose. I know we get rid of a lot of people that do, but there are some that continue this behavior and it may not be known. I personally have no first hand knowledge of it, but i have heard of some that do ( but that’s gossip and i can’t speak on facts i don’t have personally). @FunCartel

    If he was here for help, he was here for the wrong reasons. Depression is one thing, an addiction to porn is another altogether, and believing that Jesus is talking to you is something beyond both. Which of those issues can be helped with here? Depression, maybe. A sense of community can assist with that. But the other two?

    Perhaps things would have went better for him if he hadn’t lashed out against the site and those who used it for its intended purpose.

    I guess my thoughts on the subject aren’t getting any of us anywhere. We’ve all agreed he was wrong, but what i think was the discussion was productive at least getting there. But hey, I’m not invested in this that much so I’ll concede.

    My personal opinion is that @SoulcuddlerZ is a gunslinger with way too quick of a Trigger finger. I don’t know, maybe it’s necessary though. I’ve seen the boards on here be an all out war zone in the past. I personally didn’t see anything all that horrible about that thread. I would have appreciated an explanation as to why it was closed. If that guy was legit, I don’t think he meant any harm. I noticed also that he’s been banned. I would like to know why he was banned. Was it because of that thread or was there more to it? Maybe that guy has a bad history on this site and if that was made clear to all of us, maybe we would all be saying good riddance rather than wondering.

    @Morpheus i think that as well. The guys statements would definitely make me believe he’d do something that would cause him to be banned and very inappropriate in a cuddle session.

    Perhaps a response is indeed due. @Cozytimes1212 was reported by a pro for some of the messages he sent her. Even before this discussion came to my attention, @Cozytimes1212 was paused with a demand to explain his messages to other members. @Mark saw fit to ultimately ban him based on his response. Back to the discussion in question, I agree with those who reported it that it had the potential to become a very volatile situation. After all, this platform is not here to facilitate prostitution or any other non-platonic activity, and the pros who keep their services strictly platonic wouldn't take kindly to being labeled otherwise.
