It's hard for me even really imagine what a public cuddle would be like, or what a good setting would be. Have any experiences or ideas?
Picnic dates, if weather permits, are my favorite. Cozy blanket, cool breeze, good laughs...
And if you can't think of anything to say, there's always food to help you pass the time. Lol mostly kidding. ???
Cuddling in a movie theater can be nice, especially if the film itself isn’t great.
One day, I’d like to cover myself and my cuddle partner in fake blood, and then cling to them while in a gutter. That could be amusing.
Picnics on blankets are perfect - some would also count the movies as a public cuddle - most theaters these days have seats where the armrest is movable so you can be close. I would also suggest backseat car cuddles when you don't have other options or time. It's definitely a comfort level issue for both participants, but talk, work something out.
I personally prefer meet each of my perspective cuddle partners in public first, have coffee or tea, talk a bit and usually share a nice long hug before parting ways and scheduling (or not) something more in the future. So I wouldn't discount meeting somewhere and just sharing some hugs - that counts as a cuddle for me.
@hogboblin: The perfect Halloween cuddle.
@Rafael9898: I've cuddled in a public park, on the grass. Avoid anthills, and you're pretty much good to go. Plus, in between watching clouds, I got to practice my cartwheels!
I just had a public cuddle session at a movie theater. The venue we went to actually offers cuddle couches. I wholly recommend them!
Also, I've cuddled up to people in booths at restaurants or pubs. Comfortable, and easier to converse.
@yamterdam cuddle couches? Sounds nice but umm... I think I'd be concerned about what happened on said couch before I sat in it.. I had friends work in movie theaters tell of stories of acts of indecency. Maybe I'm just a pessimist though.
Also @hogoblin I agree. I'll go in on the body bag sleeping bag incase its cold.
@laylanie They are in the front of the theater, so it would be the least likely place for someone to try something (in my opinion). The couches are a new addition, so maybe just be concerned about what happened in any seat in the theater? I mean... Alanis Morissette sang about theater indecency in 1995.
@Yamsterdam very true! And I do normally worry about that in any other seat too just surprise that there would be a cuddle area in the theater. Also that Morissette reference. ?❤
Public cuddles are great. My only exception would be on a public bench. Someone said picnic and that would be nice, also if you’re in a relationship, public transport to pass the time is nice, and this isn’t public but it’s outside of the house and it’s car cuddles (one driving the other slightly leaning on you or their head on you). One of my favorites.
I had a public cuddle at the beach and the park. Both were nice settings and it wasn't as awkward as you might think it would be.
I've cuddled on a park bench and on a blanket on the grass in the park. It was nice.
I met pro from here in park, we laid down for bit, had chat n she said prefer to use room instead
The only time I ever tried to put my arms around a woman in public, she snapped at me "I don't like public displays of affection". So no, I've never done it and probably never would.
@hogboblin Seriously the funniest idea for a public cuddle I’ve ever heard ??
Anytime? Place? Yours? Meal 1st? Email me Poolman67@gmail.com
Ive done movie cuddles. If the seats where better i would make it a regular thing. Im so down for the beach or a park though.
I think a cuddle party in public is good. Half of the participants can wear red the other half blue and you must hug and cuddle the opposite color. The location is the US Capitol Building.
Lead by example.
@hogboblin who gets to wear the yellow rain coat?
Time to start going to food courts and doing flash cuddles.
I love the flash cuddle idea. Lol flash mobs always remind me of that Fatboy Slim video where regular people (Not trained dance performers) are doing a performance in the lobby of a movie theatre.
I’m new and have asked some potential cuddles if they would be ok doing a public cuddle in the park on a blanket (something I miss not being in a relationship this time of year) and most of them said they would not be comfortable. I would be MORE comfortable because it’s outside so nothing untoward could happen. I’ll keep asking. Maybe once we know each other better, they might say yes.
@MarthaSpeaks We are living in a time when everyone identifies as a vampire or a zombie or some variation thereof, so cuddling in the daylight is impractical.
Ah. Silly me. Good to know. I think I might use that info to my advantage.
Plus cuddling while slathered in sunscreen is icky.
I've a few not just from here. I try to find somewhere a bit semi private, somewhere I still feel overall comfortable. As an introvert/ I tend to get sensory overload, perhaps much easily than most people. So, it's also important for me to hangout somewhere relatively quiet, and meets my needs. I'd say the park can be cool, at first anywhere, and if need be move to somewhere a bit less busy.
In public, I just sit with others, and speak with them. If we both happen to sit close, hug, etc., that could be cool.
Going out for a drink somewhere with good/suitable seatings may also work for anyone that'd like a first or so: get to know you moment, with the potential to be close a bit. The day of time you choose to go there also depends. So, getting to know their buzziest times if possible is advised.
Barely read any responses yet, so it's possible I am repeating some points.
Purely personally I'm gonna concentrate on walking, for a while, before I try running.
AMC theatres with reclining seats are great. You're in public, don't have to talk much and no pressure.
@tawny ?
I need investors for my new business—Cuddlevana. My target audience will be public cuddlers. I will build a cylindrical kiosk in different cities with a keypad and a place to swipe debit/credit cards. You select how long you wish to cuddle, the color you like (let’s say blue for example), and if you have a membership (I am big on frequent cuddle perks). Once you pay, a pizza pan size token rolls out, you pick it up, put it in the oversized coin slot and start the crank. The token drops and a large blue bean bag for cuddling on drops. After cuddling on the bean bag you return it to a hopper in back. If you do not return it, your card will be charged $399.95. ?
BUT, before you even get a bean bag, you must agree to the Terms of Service:
As a renter, (you) agree to abide by the legally binding terms for blissful bean bag public cuddling rental:
By proceeding, you agree to the terms of service.
