  • Maybe a quiz on the code of conduct before it lets you finish sign up? might help filter out the riffraff ahem I mean, inform the people who are looking to date that this site isn't for them...

  • It's a bummer that the community isn't large enough to support that. I'm going to think about how to change that. Maybe I'm just an overly enthusiastic newbie. Has anyone done a tedtalk about cuddling, I wonder.

  • These are big people in the industry I have met.

  • This is another one, but don't know the person...

  • Oh yay! Thank you for posting those. And I did find one cuddle party on meetup.com, that offers exactly what I was taking about.

Thanks, for posting these videos, ubergigglefritz. Very informative!

    Two things:
Can we get a date for each message in a conversation as I'd like some indication of how late I am in replying.
Also, can we get a bigger window to compose our messages. Mine is about one and a half inches tall, with the rest of the page filled up with stuff I have no interest in.

  • God, I only wish I could remember what I posted now.

  • Omg we have a celebrity among us! I love that we can see you and your personality. You have your own fricken TedTalk! How awesome are you... seriously.

And what you say.... I love you! ❤️

  • And I have a new thing I like to do while cuddling.... listen to TedTalks about cuddling!

  • @MarthaSpeaks That is not the CC member doing the Ted Talks on the science of touching. He was attempting humor. The guy doing the talk is David Linden, a professor at UNC.

  • @FunCartel I kind of figured that out, ha. He also lives in Baltimore, not Australia, and is a couple years older. I don't really see how it should have been read as humor though... ?

  • @ubergigglefritz Hence the word “attempting” before humor.

  • Would be nice to have the ability to change names. I want to change my moniker to a literary one. I have chosen KickMeInTheBalzac.

  • Boo. Oh well. Anyone have David Linden’s email address? Is he on here? What’s his screen name? ? I just assumed HH was an American living in Australia!

Whew! Traveling to North Carolina is a lot easier and cheaper for me than traveling to Australia!?

  • Baltimore is even closer! Lol

  • I like the site the way it is. Just wish there were more people.

One thing that annoys me is the cultish feeling I get from the forums. That is people with a very regimented attitude about what cuddling is all about, trying to tell everyone else how to think and how to feel. Cuddling means different things for everyone. Let people be themselves and enjoy meeting whoever they like. It makes sense to try to prevent abusive and predatory behavior. However, it doesn't make sense to try to limit the kinds of relationships that might start on the site. If people meet and have any kind of rewarding relationship, that's a success. Some seem to feel that if people meet for cuddling and then end up having a relationship, they have committed a cardinal sin and should be eternally banned.

Trying to impose beliefs on users is a reason many social media sites fail. Look what happened to OKC when the site decided to impose a bunch of rules because they decided they alone knew what women wanted. My advice. Keep it simple; as a site for meeting other people who like to cuddle and embrace the committed users you end up with.

There are a couple of things holding back this scene in my opinion. One is that it is still viewed as being effeminate for men to be into cuddling. Almost like being bisexual. It's changing perhaps but slowly.

Another is that, like any site for meeting people, there are safety issues. The karma system in a great thing for helping people feel more confident in the people they are meeting. I would suggest adding other ways for people to self certify. For example , proving identity, offering background checks etc. I think it would be a good thing to find ways of more strongly encouraging people to provide karma or some type of review when they have met someone. I don't really like having to ask people for karma. Even if they didn't really enjoy the meeting, we'd at least like to know whether the person they met was honest and safe. Perhaps something more anonymous than the karma review system.

  • Block and report all the prositutes

  • @ElecKtrify Maybe a special Hot Deals section, sort of like my Golf Now app uses, complete with a flame icon? Red light specials, aisle 4?

On a more serious note, the moderation seems a bit heavy handed. Too many threads get editted or closed too quickly.

I would like to see profiles archived after 100 days of inactivity, and totally deleted after 120 days.

  • @CardiacKid I just leave my search filter on active within the last week. Since I have done that, I disagree with deleting inactive users. I have seen people come back after long inactivity stretches. It's definitely not unheard of. Just filter your searches and make them invisible for you... ?

  • Moderator note: This thread is now closed because of accusations that threads are closed too quickly.

If the Professional cuddlers are the ones, who are paying for all of us to have Cuddlecomfort.com, then why do we need all these threads running? I see more in your face type of aggressive bully behavior being thrown than any real substance except by the professionals.

None of us can truly understand what another person is going through unless we have walked a mile in their shoes. Get rid of all these useless threads, allow only professionals to run the site or give us widgets so we get to control what we view and cannot view.

    Thanks.
