Ghosting stories; ghosted or ghoster.

Hi Everyone.
Apologies if there is already a post on this issue. Not sure how to search through past posts on my phone.

Another thread made me curious about ghosting stories in general as well on CC. Does anyone have ghosting stories they are willing to share either as a ghoster or someone who was ghosted?

    I, too, would love to hear stories from ghosted. Maybe hearing the other side would soften me toward those who have ghosted me.

    I was communicating on here witha female from Fort Wayne (who has not been on here since just after our last communication). We had talked pretty consistently for about 2 weeks prior to setting up a session. A time and meeting place had been determined, and I told her I would contact her the day of to get a cell phone number just in case. The day of the session we exchanged cell numbers, and I told her I would contact her an hour before leaving my place to ensure the meeting was on. (This was about 3 hours prior to session.) Right before I was getting ready to leave I contacted her. When I got no response from CC, I tried her cell. Again no response. I tried for the next hour to reach her- no response. Finally I gave up. I politely told her how disappointed I was in her actions on CC and text.

    But wait- there's more!

    About 2 weeks later she contacted me and apologized saying something had come up in her family, and after seeing my contacts she was too embarrassed to contact me right away. She said she was still interested in a session, so, silly me, I gave it another try. After all, it is hard for a straight, married, older, husky male to find many females who will even respond to his messages, let alone try to set up a cuddle session.

    So we set up a time and place. Same procedure as before. Except this time when I contacted her an hour before, she confirmed we were on. I texted her up to a half hour before our meeting. When I got to the meeting place- no show. And again, after sitting in the parking lot trying to contact her for over an hour, I was stood up. Again I let her know my feelings on the subject, and I haven't been in touch with her since. Her last time on this site was about a week after the incident.

    The worse thing about being ghosted is when you see them still active acting like nothing happened.

    How odd and cruel. Hope she is now blocked?

    Although some people take pleasure out of playing with others feelings.There are apparently less sinister reasons, but still seem odd, totally unnecessary. Ghosting is usually more distressing than dissappointing or rejecting someone.

    Mine is a sort of ghost story. A woman put an ad on Craigslist, I responded, we met at a restaurant, discussed things over and planned to meet later. While we hit it off ok at our get-together she must have developed cold feet because she kept making excuses. I just stopped writing.

    @Fredrick_Hugs If you took her to Jack in the Box to meet and her excuse was illness, then it wasn’t an excuse. It was the truth.

    I just got ghosted for a session today. I've been ghosted on this site too many times to count, people really don’t care about you.

    I was kind of ghosted today by someone who messaged me a nasty message and blocked me before I could respond to them. This was a private message mind you. It is nothing that will ruin my day, but I find that pretty immature.

    I got ghosted this past week by someone. We were supposed to meet in 2 weeks...I texted her to see if she was still able to meet and all she said was "lets not..thanks'. and nothing else since then.
    so i guess she said goodbye.

    Reread my first post. I said IF you took her to one of those restaurants and she said she was sick then it was not an excuse it was the truth. The restaurants mentioned are brick and mortars housing heart attacks and other maladies. Please read with care. I never “wished” anything. Loosen up.
