Also, what types of deserts, and drinks do you love/like. ?
Julia Child's Scrambled and Poached Eggs have had my soul since I saw her show!
And some peanut butter cake with dark chocolate frosting pairs well with a Greek Caffe Frappe!
@Lovelight as OP, what are your favorites?
I like the deserts that are short on hidden cacti. Ever sit on a rock and discover a tiny cactus? Not fun.
More seriously: fish. Fish are delish.
@pageOfMind still thinking about. ?
@DarrenWalker - bwahahahahaha!
My favorite desserts: chocolate lava cake, peach cobbler, peach pie, banana cream pie, chocolate cream pie, raspberry cheesecake, chocolate chip (using vanilla pudding) cookies.
Drinks: Whiskey/bourbon-based drinks such as Manhattans, Rusty Nails, and Old Fashioneds. Run-based drinks like Dark and Stormy or Malibus. Tequila, aged and smokey, for sipping - you mix the low quality/cheap stuff for margaritas. Vodka-based drinks like Collins or Seabreeze or Fuzzy Navels. Give me all the beers. Water as a chaser.
Meals: Swedish (Veggie) meatballs, portobello mushroom burgers, and eggs (over hard) with toast.
Drinks: coffee, as frequently as is possible. A decent Sauvignon Blanc. Stouts or porters.
I don’t enjoy overly sweet food. I’m not crazy about moderately sweet stuff, either.
I’ll take a well marbled porterhouse ,... center cut from an aged loin,... medium rare, with horse radish , and a green veggie like broccoli or asparagus, wth..hollandaise or béarnaise, maybe a loaded potatoe or rice , and sautéed mushrooms, I might wash it down with a chatauneuf de pouef, etc Or to make it simple ... meat and potatoes
@DarrenWalker what type of fish?
@pageOfMind
My favourites are:
sushi, salmon, avocado, spinach, okra, green olives, lahmacun, carrots, and pasta. Probably broccoli, sweet potatoes, and cauliflower, as well.
Fruit:
oranges/mandarins, apples, kiwi, and blueberries. Probably cranberries, and raspberries, as well.
Drinks:
water, tea preferably mint tea, occasional slushy I’d probably get a section of each type there is.
@hogboblin cool. I’ve am still working on getting away from sugary stuff.
I prefer snacks to meals. The portion sizes at US restaurants are obscene. It's hard to beat a really good grilled cheese made with real cheese and thinly sliced tomato. Drinks, anything fruity and/or tropical. I recently juiced a great concoction. I used two apples, eight strawberries and a lime. For alcoholic, I love Wyder's Prickly Pear and Pineapple cider. They have a dessert at a restaurant we go to called a 'Passion Cookie'. It's a 5" diameter chocolate chip cookie baked in a pan with a large scoop of vanilla ice-cream in the center. Two or three of us share it.
I tend to just pick at a rotisserie chicken and put it over a bed of mixed greens for a few days , then will make a chicken veggie soup out of what's left of the carcass and repeat when done . And loads of water and coffee .
Beer.
Mostly pizza, mac and cheese, lasanga. I also found out that Dominos has a veggie sub, I had that a few days ago (asked for it without onions) it was great.
Deserts, most things with chocolate, also Twix candies and most other kinds of candy.
Drinks, Mountain Dew, especially baha blast. Dr pepper, coffee. But mostly water.
My favorite meals? All of them, especially the one sitting right in front of me.
I recently bought a Belgian waffle maker at a garage sale so I have been having lots of waffles these days. I'm thinking about offering waffles with my cuddles. They're easy, inexpensive and delicious! (Just like me! ...no wait, that's not what I meant...scratch that...wrong website..)
@MarthaSpeaks Well you know what guys say—Belgian Waffles are not as easy as French Toast.
@Lovelight: I have yet to eat a fish I didn't like. Even canned tuna tastes great to me. Fish! They're the best.
I love lamb, especially when served with rice, pita or any other flat bread with a yogurt dip. That's my idea of comfort food. Coffee or tea to drink, and gulab jamun for dessert. Or, anything chocolate. Hold the nuts, please.
@MarthaSpeaks - I also love Belgian waffles. I like to put fresh fruit in each indentation. I've used blueberries, blackberries, raspberries or sliced-up strawberries.
@UKGuy yum! I usually fill each square all the way with maple syrup. ?
@FunCartel yeah, that French Toast. The whore of breakfast foods. Go figure.
@UKGuy nice, I love these berries, as well. ?
@DarrenWalker cool! ?
There’s too much here to list. But I love Thai, Indian, and Himalayan curry-type dishes: such as yellow coconut curry, vindaloo, tika masala, etc.
I’m relatively adventurous when it comes to food; my waistline will bear that out. My favorite meals are prepared by someone else, served to me at the able, and the dishes washed by someone else. Even a restaurant meal can make me this happy.
I love seafood Lemon drops Anything with some chocolate/caramel or cheesecake
@mickcuddle .... a waist is a terrible thing to mind
Lately it is seafood. I just can't get enough . I cooked salmon, flounder, and shrimp in lemon butter dill sauce every day for 2 weeks straight. I still want seafood so bad but found out that I'm pregnant and not supposed to eat a lot of seafood like that. Also, seafood isn't cheap lol
Tacos.... all the tacos ?
@kleen I wouldn’t want to clean your bathroom.
@FunCartel what kind of tacos are you eating??
@kleen I don’t eat tacos. I also do not eat red meat and avoid sauces as much as I can. I like raw veggies and fruits. Clean living. And @FunCartel I still have to clean my bathroom.
I’m a big fan of brunch ? and seafood ?
