How Did You Find This Site?

edited July 2019 in General

For me is was about a month into my divorce from a 15 year marriage. I started Googling activities to get involved in and this showed up somehow. It's been a way to make friends while still being able to give and show affection. Hoping that more people find this great outlet, it brings people together.

  • I did a google search after my then-wife said I should find a cuddler because she hated physical touch.

  • While in my last relationship, we couldn’t keep ourselves from lying in bed wrapped around each other. We decided to wait a while to engage sexually, but we still craved the close physical contact. I was doing some research on why this might be and I found this site. After we broke up, I came back.

  • that is cute martha

  • Believe it or not I used the internet.

I had just found out about Sheep boys in Japan and was telling a friend on Tiny Chat about it, and he told me that there were web pages that would find people to cuddle with for free already in existence for the USA. He did the web search and gave me the site.

  • A guy at a bar asked me if I was a cuddler, I was completely clueless as to what he was talking about. So he proceeded to buy me a drink and tell me all about the site. Signed up that night 👍🏻👍🏻

  • I'm another person who came here after a relationship ended. It was about a month ago, and I just found myself just profoundly sad.

I've read about how men suffer from touch deprivation, and I was feeling it intensely and going into a really dark depression. I was in tears and actually developing some self-harming ideations. Which is totally not me.

So I started googling cuddling, which I'd heard of from a friend, thinking I could maybe find something on Craigslist. Haha, probably not there right locale. Somehow in the Googlage I found this site and signed up.

I've since had one cuddle session, done some reading and healing, and have tried to reach out for more. It takes some time, I'm finding.

  • I wondered if anyone else was thinking what I was thinking and googled professional cuddlers....Now, here I am, ha ha. It's good to know I'm not the only one.

I’m in a group on another website and this website was mentioned in the chat.

  • My coworkers told me

  • Thank you all for the responses. We are all here for a reason that's for sure!

  • Reddit, I was complaining about a lack of platonic cuddling app on r/asexuality and got recommended this website.

  • I was cuddling as a professional for about 7 months before a cuddler told me to check out this site. And so I did and here i am now lol

  • I always loved to cuddle. Touch for no reason and be touched. One of the best things other than sex is physical closeness. Googled cuddle and same evening created my account.

  • Being never married and 60, having a hard time finding dates, I needed some touch in my life. I ran an internet search for females companionship. I landed up on this site. I love it now!!!

    I turned left at Greenland...

The local news is how i knew about people being paid as a professional cuddler and i check the internet a month later and I found cc. I thought it was for couples and lovers only. This site is helpful.

  • I read an article about cuddling once, then later I saw a snap story about it. I checked out the website mentioned, & signed up. I didn't really like what I found there but i was still interested so I googled for other sites and found this one.

  • A friend and cuddle buddy told me about the site.

I learned about it from lurking the Cuddle Buddies subreddit when I was first researching. A few months later I actually joined.

I have always been a soulful person who loves to give hugs. I've been taken as a simple minded fool, used and rejected for years even while in a long committed relationship. So starting on a self changing journey about 6 years ago I started just randomly hugging and snuggling people. The word cuddle was not a part of my vocabulary. It's in recent months after I got ghosted, rejected, stranded by others over the last few years that I googled the word snuggle. Two websites popped up. Cuddle comfort and snuggle buddies. I surfed both and read reviews on both. Both sites got mixed reviews but I chose cuddle comfort because it had a deeper mix of good and bad reviews as well as diversity in terms of ethnicities and nationalities. And the strict rules that are always on display below every message box was reassuring to me

  • A news report / mini documentary about it on Snapchat. What a find! So thankful.

  • I was turned on to platonic cuddling as an actual thing with a label and cohorts a few years back from a friend of mine here in Birmingham who was co founder of a cuddle site called Cuddle Fix. Her site was cool but was pretty much utilized for booking paid cuddle services and I was more interested in the community aspect of it. So I did some googling around and found CC. I really like that there is a little something for everyone here, and that since it is not always easy to say I'm a dude who loves sex but really am just looking to cuddle folks from time to time, it is nice that there is a place like this where others are looking for the same and I don't have to explain myself.

I discovered the cuddle community by accident while searching online on the proper procedure to find and hire a prostitute in my area. And now seeing what I just wrote, maybe I should back up and give some context to that statement first and the events that lead me to it.

A few years ago, I fell out of contact with all my friends and family because I moved out of state to take care of my 94-year-old grandmother:

She got really bad during the holidays of 2018 and needed 24-hour care at home. At Christmas, I had to quit my job because she couldn't walk on her own anymore. I only left the house once a week to go to the grocery store because day and night, she needed someone to help her go to the bathroom every 90 minutes (which was a 20-minute process, then set her back down for 70 minutes until she had to go again).

I lost track of all time because I was no longer sleeping. I was merely taking naps any chance I could in between her calling out for help. I was able to stay motivated because I was sure she only had a few days left, maybe a week. Not going outside, or socializing with anyone, I was astonished to find that 4 months had pass. One day the new year had just begun, and the next I missed the tax filing date in April.

She did finally pass away and I had to wait a few months to get the permits to transport her ashes across state lines to be buried where my family is. We had a big family reunion in Lake Tahoe, CA this summer. It wasn't until I got to interact with all the family that I hadn't seen in years, that I realized how isolated I was the last 6 months having no other human contact other than my grandmother who was hallucinating at the end, and the telemarketers that would call throughout the day.

After she passed and I went to California to bury her, I was traveling somewhere in the Carson City/Reno area when my uncle, who is from the area, pointed out that the Bunny Ranch brothel was nearby. This gave me an epiphany on how to temporarily alleviate the loneliness I am feeling. Those 5 second hugs from my aunts and cousins were nice, but I realized I needed something more substantial to make myself feel human again. Maybe I could pay a stranger to hold me for a while?

I'm asexual. I am not interested in sex, but I had hoped that I could just pay someone for their time to hold me and listen to me talk. Like a psychiatrist who would spoon with me while discussing life. I needed kinesthetic therapy. Was a Touch Therapist a profession?

I know nothing about the industry, so I searched google and found this really interesting article that was exactly what I was looking for.

Brothels are legal in Nevada, but not in Arizona where I now live. So when I got home I started researching the internet about how to find companionship by the hour. I had no problem paying for this kind of service for the well being of my mental and emotional health, but I have been eating into my savings for the last 8 months taking care of grandma full time and legal escorts in my area are in the $500-$1000 price range. Las Vegas would be cheaper, but its a 5 hour drive away.

That's when I discovered cuddlecomfort.com. Prices here are much more reasonable at $80 - $100 an hour. That may be good in the short term, but I'm hoping to find someone long term who I can bond and connect with. I promised myself to give this site a try at least until the end of the year to see if I can end my cuddle drought.

I had a really positive platonic cuddle in July with a woman whose CL advert I had answered the month before. I don’t think I had known this had been made into an industry, and I was genuinely fascinated by the concept as she explained it. Must’ve been within the next 2 days that I Googled “cuddle” or something similar - she mentioned that she had previously been a pro at a website, but I didn’t ask which one - and CC was among the first 1 or 2 search results. It seemed decent enough. I took a brief tour and signed-up right before clocking-in for work that morning.
