Im no doctor, but im pretty sure it is indeed common for such a thing to happen. Actually I would go as far to say its practically natural. I can go into scientific hooha and mumbo jumbo about how sone men could get, you know what, by even the simplest of intimate touches but I dont have the time for that cause Im at work.
However, I would never ever give advice that would make anybody uncomfortable. So, my advice, is do what you feel safe and comfortable in doing.

@RayRay2468 Yeah, in most cases, this wouldn't be welcome at all. The activity is meant to be platonic and if somebody is masturbating in the bathroom, it's pretty much taking a turn away from that. The better thing to do is focus on something else, change the conversation subject, reposition your body, and stop giving it fuel. We are all adults. We know how to handle arousal in a more respectful manner, hopefully.
