Is being in a relationship while pro-cuddling difficult?

edited July 2019 in General

I just started to think about a pro-cuddler being in a relationship and nothing positive was coming to mind. I’m not saying that to be mean as it just seems like an extremely difficult situation for a couple. Sure, extra income is nice but is that it?

(If questions below are too personal, I understand. A general opinion on the topic would still be great)

Have any of you lost a partner over choosing to cuddle? ( I can see that ultimatum coming up often with couples)

Are any of you avoiding a relationship due to a possible conflict?

Anyone still keeping it a secret from their significant other? Lol.

Personally, if I had a partner, I’d definitely be opposed to them cuddling. To be honest, I’m too sensitive and not sure I could handle a situation like that.

Thank you!

  • Thanks for elaborating and going into detail. Always appreciated.

  • Childish questions demand brevity in response.

  • I'm sorry. What's your quote of the day? Is that more your speed? Try looking at the actual body of the message next time and not just the headline. Not even sure why I'm responding to nobody.

  • Then don’t Mr. Passive-Aggressive.

  • No, no, yes

  • From a pro cuddler who's been with the same guy since 16, no. There have been far, far worse trials and tribulations we had to go through in our relationship than this. If you have no trust in the relationship or have to keep secrets, then of course there would probably be issues.

  • Ok, I will elaborate for the dude who started the thread. It is very, very simple—you could have half a million people answer this thread and all half a million would be different. It does not take any substantial energy from brain cells to figure that out as all relationships are different, but what makes the questions childish is the sheen of expectation and judgement you work on top of the questions (I.e. lol, I can see that ultimatum, I would never, etc.). And yes I will agree that you are too sensitive: to what other people say, so I am not totally at odds with all your statements.

  • Whether I'm a professional cuddler or not, I need to be with someone who both supports and trusts me. Non-negotiable.

  • No, it is not because many pro cuddlers keep their relationships and pro cuddling activities separate.

It would be cool if people put more effort into starting threads. Maybe there’d be fewer repeat posts about stuff like relationships, throbbing meat, the malevolence/greed of professionals (usually borderline misogyny), wondering why nobody will cuddle you while also exhibiting loathsome traits, and giving up because there are no young, supple bodies nearby that are ready to cuddle at a moment’s notice.

I think you guys are being pretty insensitive to someone who just had a thought and asked some questions. There is nothing wrong with asking questions to a community. If no one answers, so be it; but damn, you don't have to attack someone for just asking some stuff.

  • @niceguyfirst

There’s a thread entitled “Relationships” on the forum’s first page that covers this same topic, more or less. There’s two threads going by “Do you cuddle in secret?” that also touch upon many aspects of the OP’s post.

The OP put in zero effort. Why should anyone take them seriously?

  • @niceguyfirst Yes, but the OP in question starts one inane thread after another with, as one poster said, little thought given to the contents. If you post something, you may get disagreement, and I think something should be said when someone continuously lowers the bar.

  • @niceguyfirst Like was mentioned above, he's been starting these toned topics for a couple days now which honestly come off as condescending. If you put a thread out there, you really can't control what kind of input it's going to get. Such "discussions" just give the community a daily dose of ocular strain after we see enough of them. These issues are dead horses that have been beaten to pulp.

Still I think everyone is being rude. It's a relevant question to me. You are responding based off of previous things and not this thread. Better you dont respond at all?
He has clearly said he feels a certain way and has asked for thoughts. Simple

  • @mattcuds

“You are responding based off of previous things and not this thread.”

But this thread is nearly identical to those previous things.

  • @hogboblin Keep up with the times, meanie. Asinine Threads. So hot right now.

  • If you don't like a thread you could always just skip over it.
No one is forcing you to spend time reading and posting messages in a thread you find so useless.

  • @melancholy

No. Way. I never once considered that as an option. You have revealed a new path to me.

In all seriousness, it’s fun critiquing pointless threads and calling into question the faculties of the OP.

Also, as @HugsAndAttitude said, it should be noted when someone continuously lowers the bar.

  • [Deleted User]mattcuds (deleted user)

All this talk of lowering the bar; clearly there are those who are not aware.
If you really want to organize things why not just post the thread rather than act like you're better than someone else.
Not cool.. not everyone is 'keeping up'

@mattcuds So we should leave this thread to you and your ilk who find no bar too low and find everything buzzing above your head. Very well I will file this thread under the file name “Vapid”.

  • [Deleted User]mattcuds (deleted user)

No.. you should share what information you have. Or ask the mods to close a thread if its indeed such a waste of time for the community.
But if you're going to act like you're so much better than others who aren't aware or whatever of previous threads and keep making snide comments.. I'd say get a job or something lol

@mattcuds So if someone starts a thread asking if the sky is blue on a cloudless day and several people say what a dumb thread you think everyone who criticized the topic are acting like they are better than the OP? Most people would say no they are not acting superior, but are actually thinking and take the thread in the direction of a more challenging topic like the failure of our public education system and the resulting lowering of basic intellectual standards.

In short, what you are not grasping is he has started several threads where you do not need more than a few brain cells to figure out the answer whether you have read previous threads or not. Like @catloaf said...he asks these lame questions with a heavy dose of condescension as well. So no, we are not acting better (whatever that subjective term means in your mind) we are pointing out he would do well to get a life or a job. But if you love having your intelligence insulted then by all means, message the OP.

  • Arguing for arguments sake seems like a lost cause...

  • I think this is a good time for soulcuddlerz to close this thread.

  • This is supposed to be a place of compassion and understanding...

  • [Deleted User]yogig77 (deleted user)

The kind of rudeness here doesn't seem to fit the intention behind a Cuddling site. The aggression and condescension seems borderline aggressive, and I'm going to report the behavior as it doesn't belong here. If you don't like the thread, be respectful, or move on.

  • I can be understanding and compassionate for both sides. But that's just one reason I'm good at what I do, ha.

  • [Deleted User]SoulcuddlerZ (deleted user)

I must say... some of the comments here are really obnoxious.
