I know, right? Everyone here should suit MY PREFERENCES. I like to imagine everyone wanting to cuddle with me; so, to see people who don’t suit my tastes, or doing something I find disagreeable...it’s just like, why are you even here? This is about ME.

@hogBOBlin - Thumbs way up.. I find that profile names that don't indicate male or female are so ambiguous I wind-up checking out profiles I would otherwise have no desire to inquire about, so I guess everyone should change their names to suit me. Lol. 😂

More seriously: what @hogboblin said. Some people, believe it or not, aren't bothered by such obviously filtered photos. Let the people who think it's fun cuddle with each other, eh? And we unfiltered folk can carry on with our more realistic pictures.
While I also agree that Snapchat photos can be misleading, I'm not about to judge someone for using them. They're fun to use. Almost all photos we take are hiding some flaw we have. A photo will never accurately represent a person 100%. Take my photo which hasn't been filtered or touched up (but is of rather botched quality). It doesn't show my poor skin, my poor teeth or the slightly excessive facial hair growth I deal with from PCOS, etc... people will see that in real life and either accept me as I am, or not. Some people feel better about themselves using Snapchat photos, or think it makes them look cute and approachable (maybe to the younger crowd). Who honestly knows? There's no point trying to dissect someone's reasoning for choosing to present themselves how they see fit. It's like me complaining or speculating about all the people here who choose not to upload a photo - it could be for any reason. Either way, if you feel uncomfortable by the use of Snapchat photos you can always ask to have a video chat or meet up in person. It's just a bit of harmless fun.
Personally hate photos with filters on them on dating sites as what the person looks like is more of a factor than on here, iffy but not a major deal if they have them on here as in the end what they look like doesn't matter so long as they're at least putting a photo up for reference/to promote trust.
Having them be against the rules seems a little extreme, if they're filtered to high hell to such a degree that you can't even remotely tell what the person looks like then for sure but as a blanket rule? nah, people should be able to express themselves so long as it doesn't get inappropriate or compromise what the site is for.

I'm getting to be an old fogey when it comes to technology (lol) and am not a fan of Snapchat style pictures on places like this, but people can do as they please. It's healthy to be able to try to understand other people's perspectives, but if you can't, then it's a way to filter out people you're not interested in meeting with, whatever that reason may be 😇 But at the end of the day, there's no reason to restrict people's freedoms with this...

Personally? I love playing with snapchat filters. In playing with them privately (rarely sharing them but keeping my own folder of them) I was able to overcome my own hatred of having photos taken of me. Now, I'm more able to accept photos of me, even if they aren't the best. This is evidenced by the fact I have pics of me listed here that aren't the greatest, but they show a little of who I am.
