Something Fun! Where'd your username come from?

How about something a little more fun for a change in pace. We all have usernames we go by here? How did you come up with yours; is there a fun story about it, or was it just what was available?

I'll start.

The username I came up with for here is Emphaticrates. It's a combination of Emphatic (Since I tend to be passionate about some issues) and Socrates (Cause why not be a little pretentious with a username? 🤣). Although I guess it could also be Emphatic Crates now that I look at it. lol

What about the rest of you. Any interesting stories behind your chosen username?

    Mine is from an experimental collage group that was on a lable called Illegal Art. My favorite of their's was a live album they did with Wobbly and Matmos called "Wide Open Spaces" of cowboy sound.

    I like my name because it has a double meaning. I also think that people who get together just to cuddle are way different than most other people.

    I describe it on my profile, but back in 2018 I learned what a catloaf is. I was quite pleased because I was struggling to give a name to that position my cat often takes when she's relaxing. I've heard there is a similar thing called "bunloaf", except it's with bunnies instead. If a rabbit lover happens to ever read this, please sign up with the name "Bunloaf" and we can be fraternal forum twins.

    Mine's a bit too embarrassing, so I won't be sharing every detail here. It was given to me by a waitress at a "restaurant" who asked for the name on a tab... I was drunk, and told her just my first name, "Chris". It's "restaurant" policy to use Mr or Miss, so I wound up being known as Mr. Chris. My brother never lets me live this down. Or that night, in general.

    Bottom line, I am NEVER going back to that establishment, or any like it, for so long as I live. I'm just not the sort of person who visits those kinds of places. Only reason I went in the first place was, well, I was drunk and naive at the time.

    My username's the inevitable result of my lack of imagination. I do my best, but....

    I think occupational surnames are fun, so I figured I'd go with either Reader or Walker for my last name on here. I do a bit more reading than walking, but Walker sounded more normal, so I picked that one. And Darren is almost my real first name (just switch a couple letters).

    I went to Croatia two years ago to see where my grandfather came from. It's a very small island. I met a woman who was my third cousin; her mom knew my grandparents. She took me to the house that our mutual great grandparents built and told me that the house is called "Babichev." No one knows why, it's not a family name. It is said that everyone who comes from that house likes to dance and sing and be social. Well, it's certainly true of me and was true of my grandfather, so I have taken it on as a screen name.

    When I was a kid I always used to fantasise about becoming a detective and exploring the world. As all the famous detectives were non-Italian/English speakers, I remember trying to create a name that sounded like "Alessandro" but foreign, cooler and more mysterious... so my 8/9years old self came up with detective Lander or X-Lander (apparently alexander was too boring for young me). Now, if you google xlander it comes up with loads of pram pictures, so I put a T at the end, just in case people thought I picked a pram name as a username...

    Mine is a play on my real name and some of my personally. I got injured while I was (attempting to) play roller derby, and my chiropractor and I were discussing potential derby names. I had part of my derby name figured out but he didn't think it fit. So he spoke this one and I loved it.
    My other gamer name is Theriously Thexy, but I didn't think that was appropriate for this venue, LOL

    Right now it’s really just my name but my older username was like in reference to the sweet “wine” drink Stella Rosa except I spelled it as stellarosass since I started on a different site and wanted to be consistent with my profiles
