I have not seen any real cuddle parties in some time. So I decided to host (in Florida) but even with lots of notice, I am not gaining the interest I thought I would. Anyone else doing this?
That's a great idea, IMO. I'd join one, if it was close enough to me. I'm in the San Francisco Delta area.
I would be interested in going to one in the New York/New Jersey area.
Where in Florida? I’d join the festivities
Yes, nyc or jersey city.
Where in Florida?
I’d be super interested in hosting a cuddle party! Any one in LA/OC or surrounding areas interested in attending in Whittier??
Hey Rose143... I'd be down for going to a cuddle party in Whittier
Hi @Rose143
Sure, sounds good.
How can I help?
@SUGARDOLLBLUE maybe you need to do a better job of advertising this. I haven't seen anything and several people on this thread are asking where. I was a part of one in St. Pete last fall. There was a nominal fee and it was a donation to a local Marine institute for them to keep researching about red tide that kills large amounts of sea life. It was run by 2 people and one was a Cuddlist. Neither accepted any money for themselves. A small amount went to rent the facility the rest was a donation. There were like 20 people. A large Puddle Cuddle. Let me know if I can give any more knowledge to you re this topic.
Hey @Rose143 I am interested too in oc/la area
@Rose143 We should make it a potluck or something. I'm so down.
I’m in Orlando and would love to go to one! I need cuddles!
Cuddle party in NJ on Saturday, August 10th in Somerset, NJ.
Equal women and men. Message me if interested to be vetted.
Platonic clothed cuddling only! We will change cuddlers every 30 minutes.
No judgements, all sizes and shapes welcome.
No money to be exchanged!!
There is a cuddle party group “Chicago Cuddle Party” on Meetup. About once a month they have a consent workshop in Aurora, IL, about 30 miles west of Chicago. And a week or two later they have a party, often with a theme, somewhere in the city of Chicago. The next workshop is Saturday, August 10. That’s all I know. Go to Meet Up and search for the group if interested.
Oh my goodness! I thought if people responded to this I would get a notification. That is not the case. Here is the link! https://www.eventbrite.com/e/cuddle-party-snuggle-cuddle-and-connect-with-people-tickets-65211029946
I thought about going to one once but flashed back to first grade where no one picked me to be their arts & crafts partner.
I did this ONCE... never again.
I invited 3 pros to come at the same time for a cuddle party, after letting them know there would be others and showed them the profiles, and they all agreed.
Bought a few brand new board games, we all played, and the winner got to keep the games they won. Was really fun.
Then they all cuddled each other as they went to bed -.-, apparently 2 of them had really taken a liking to the third... so I was kicked off to the side of the bed lol.
TL;DR Paid 3 pros, they cuddled each other.
@grumpy_cat I believe that. My take on pros are that 70% are very good. But the 30% that are not are really hurtful to clients and the 70% of pros that are good. The horrible ones are like what you described—oblivious to the client, or indifferent, or clock watchers. They never ask you questions—what do you like? How do you feel? Would you like to change positions?
I have had pros that left me dizzyingly intoxicated from a session, only to experience another pro a few days later that really sucked at cuddling for some of the reasons expressed above. The bad taste they left in my mouth far outweigh the vibe the good ones left me with. And it is the really bad ones that make me question whether to use the service ever again.
@FunCartel Sorry if that came off as an anti-pro rant, it wasn't. It was most definitely an anti cuddle party rant.
Cuddling between two people is emotionally and mentally healing. Its two people connecting and sharing an experience. Getting multiple people together in my opinion just leads to what all group mentality does, an unhealthy competitive atmosphere where the purpose is no longer about the experience.
@grumpy_cat No you did not come off as anti-pro. I was merely stating why I can fully believe what you are saying. There are pros that are totally oblivious. There are fantastic ones as well. Like anything it is a mixed bag.
That was an interesting idea you had grumpy cat.
I've frequently been cuddling where I'm in the center of two partners, and I've also cuddled someone else who is in the center of three people and it has been great and satisfying for everyone. I've also been in cuddle puddles and in long spoon trains. As long as everyone has the right attitude it works out great for everyone. That being said, I only cuddle with amateurs or pros who don't charge me.
@Lets_Sunggle I agree that doing it with Non-pros or pros who do not charge make all the difference in the world.
Snuggle party in LA, southbau or OC? Keep me in the loop.
Don't be shy to message me
Thanks @FunCartel
There have been few attempts in LA with disastrous results.
Is 2019 the year for the LA Cuddle Jam?!?!
@chococuddles
Disastrous?
My imagination ran away with me as I pictured a pillow fort/patchouli implosion that emotionally scared everyone involved...
@CharlesTwisted
What you described would be categorized as "bad".
These sessions were worse than that.
@chococuddles what happened to make the "sessions" worse than "bad?" I've only been to group cuddles in L.A. in 2019 and I wouldn't categorize the ones I've been to as bad.
I'm curious about what the disasters were as well.
