@Lets_Sunggle These weren't official cuddle parties from group sites - these were cuddle parties formed from members of CC.

  • Still, what happened???!

  • @RaindropSweetie Weirdness most likely.

  • Been to a two cuddle parties. They were amazing. Each were totally different. Cost me between 15.00 -35.00. It was in the city and was from 6-10 almost 4 hours of cuddling !!!. Learned alot... learned about boundaries and consent. Cuddling was the easy part. I cuddled with 5-8 people and had a great time. The energy was fun and vibrant. The second one was more somber and sloth like also great, just different energy and different group of people. It was facilitated by two partners, they both were cuddlist certified. I cuddled with her and talked with him. He asked if I ever cuddled a man. I told him no, we had a conversation about trying it.
I thought about it and when I went to the second cuddle party I felt this was the right-safe place to be vulnerable and try. I cuddled with him. It was good, I felt the cuddle was about male energy and i felt comfortable. I am thankful for a place for me to grow, so i could be a more well rounded person.. I cuddled with his partner afterwards, she was a good cuddler. I recommend everyone to try it.
    I learned alot there...
If your local and like more info reach out to me.

  • I'm a great cuddler if anything is going on around Canton ohio

  • What is it like going to a cuddle party? Pros? Cons?

  • @Relax_always... cuddle parties are good if they are led by the right people. All the cuddle parties I've been to have all been very different from each other. Some parties are more reserved and others are a little more playful, and the rules and how strict they are vary. In all the parties, respect and consent are always everyone's first priority. With group cuddles it is nice to have a bunch of options and not be stuck with just one person and people feel safer and are more able to relax into things, knowing there are many people there who will help protect and respect you. Group conversations can be a lot of fun and you feel a real connection with people who are like minded in a way that they don't find with others outside of the cuddle community.

One on one cuddles are nice because both people can choose their own adventure... how long... what music or movies... and more. Cuddle parties are a great way to meet people you want to cuddle one on one. It's like taking a safe test drive before committing to something you aren't sure about. I feel much more comfortable cuddling one on one with a person I've previously cuddled with in a group setting first.

Pros: More people to cuddle. Community feel and fun. Safe place.

Cons: Time limit. No control over the music. Harder to have a private conversations.

  • @Lets_Sunggle Really great job selling cuddle parties in a well rounded way!

  • I agree with @Lets_Sunggle with a few additions or exceptions:

Upside: The cuddle parties I've been to are better for newbies in that there's a consent workshop beforehand and because the participants have been vetted. They know cuddle culture, they understand consent (at least in theory), and they have some buy-in in that they're RSVPing in advance, paying a fee, and attending the workshop in order to attend, not just showing up randomly or creating an anonymous profile. The facilitator knows all the participants, and s/he probably knows some participants' backgrounds and/or triggers and have some training to minimize negative experiences. That can be really helpful for people new to cuddling, people unsure of how things work, etc. There's also additional support in the form of local cuddle-centric networking, reading materials on hand, maybe even objects like floor mats or whatever to help everyone be physically comfortable.

Downside: Whether it makes participants feel safe or makes them feel watched, you're still cuddling in a room with others in view. That can take some getting used to. Also, keep in mind that while everyone attended the workshop, paid the fee, and RSVPed, that doesn't mean they understand cuddling and/or consent or that they're good at it. My first cuddle party we'd just finished the workshop on consent and creating safe spaces when a longtime attendee cornered me out of view of the facilitator to question me about my sexual orientation, history and preferences. It was hella awkward for me, but he seemed unfazed by his inappropriate behavior, especially considering the workshop minutes before. I handled it well, called him on the carpet, and eventually got him to back off, but had it been someone else, it could have turned out totally differently.

  • I am looking for people for a cuddle party in Metro Detroit area, Michigan. Anyone interested?
