@Kense You bring up a very good point. Cuddle professionals are supposed to be "healing touch therapists." It certainly would be inappropriate for such professionals to be going on paid dates with clients that may be in need of some actual therapeutic healing.
@CuddlesInParis I do not accuse others of misogyny when I disagree. I said the thinking of these services automatically as escorting is born out of centuries of patriarchal thinking. You are conditioned that way and it is misogynistic because a woman is automatically labeled because of that conditioning.
@philpottcarl 100% correct. This is the better more direct way of telling someone that they have their panties in a wad over something they already have control over. Unfortunately, most would rather cry over perceived missteps that the ladies may take than cuddle.
@CharlesTwisted For those professionals that do offer dinners, phone calls, movies, and so on, how is that all booked via this site? when accepting a booking, i can adjust the price depending on the service that the client has requested.
Are there separate categories to select in the booking menu? no there are not, it is just a fee and a chunk of time.
Is an hour long phone chat prepaid, same as a cuddling session? it would have to be.
those questions being answered i would also like to say..... We should all be a bit more kind and a lot less judgmental. any industry is based on supply and demand. there is a demand, therefore there will be a supply. folks are lonely, they are isolated, there are various reasons people struggle socially and this site has created a place for people to find some sort of platonic contact with other humans. some will simply feel more comfortable paying for a service and due to the "wink wink, nudge nudge" associated with escort services, they will feel much safer finding this sort of service here. I can only assume that my $50 an hour for a social outing is far less expensive than an escort service would charge.
Why does everybody think "Escort" automatically = paid sex. Talk about assumption. In Korea and other places, they have hostess bars where men sit down and pay women to listen to them talk all night. There is nothing more than just talking at the bar. They are considered escorts and nothing sexual is happening. Men are paying attractive women to listen to their problems. This is no different, no matter how frustrating the truth is, it's the truth. Again it's a discussion so all the tenseness and defensiveness is not warranted.
@philpottcarl Agree!
@CuddlesInParis
"Most of the users on this post agree that it’s similar to escorting." You are referring just to this post, which is not an accurate survey of how people on the site in general feel about this.
"The other two users are aggressive and one is accusing those that don’t agree with him of misogyny which is his opinion btw." Who is being aggressive?
@Kense but we are not in Korea now are we? Nice try at walking back your argument. If escorting was as harmless as your illustration from Korea then what is your beef with the pros on this site?
Doesn't matter if we are in Korea or not, an escort is an escort and they have those exact same Korean hostess bars in Hawaii. I'm not walking back anything. What gives you any impression I'm changing my opinion. Also please stop adding hostility to my opinions. I'm discussing ala carte services on a cuddle site and asking how is charging for dinner, talking, texting apart of cuddling and any different than an escort. Harmless or not, you're the one caught up on what escorting is and being the defensive spokesman for the forum.
How am I adding hostility to your argument? This is a discussion and I find it quite interesting that you are accusing me of being hostile because I disagree with you even though you continue to add personal attacks into your arguments instead of answering any questions posed to you.
Anyway, back to your point. If escorting by the Korean definition of it is what you are talking about then it is harmless and if a pro on a cuddling site wants to offer it then why do you begrudge them that? Do you want to spend extra time at your job without compensation? OR if we are going with the escort definition in the American colloquial sense where sex is involved then I think you are way off base, because if that were true you simply report them. I am trying to get a sense of what you think should be allowed at all besides cuddling and why is someone charging for their time when a client asks for dinner is so troublesome to you.
Here's the official position on this matter. Extra platonic services offered by professional cuddlers, such as phone calls and platonic dates, are sometimes permitted provided that same is secondary to a pro's cuddle offering and considered part of a cuddle session. If a pro is offering these services only and not cuddling, then it's a problem.
