It was one of the first movies we watched together. It’s been a while! Maybe we ought to watch it again; it’s only the greatest sci-fi/horror film ever made.

@hogboblin I was a 20 yo pothead college student when The Thing came out and I saw it during a Friday midnight special at a theater. I laughed at it with my friends.
Fast forward 10 years to a sober FunCartel by himself in a hotel room watching it the second time and sitting there wondering how I could laugh at that f’d up stuff. Good movie.
