Better than the real thing?

About when I joined this site I thought to just get one of those big teddy bears at the store to cuddle, but I never did hehe. I just, by accident on the net, found these nearly real looking dolls, I mean they really looked real and apparently they feel very real, can be heated, and full size. Costs like 700-1400. I'm not really into that but I was curious to know what people think about cuddling with a maniquinn (sp?)/doll/teddy bear. I watched a Japanese youtube showing some guys that like anime stuff better than relationships with real girls (like video game stuff I guess). The boy, 24 yrs young, who was on said he had never had a girlfriend and he said girls are kindof a mystery to him. They said because anime stuff doesn't lie to you, talk about you behind your back, no drama, they don't hustle you, and so many others that you can think of. He paid for a cuddle session similar to this site, and said contrary to what he thought real girls aren't so bad then went back into the anime stores with his friends seemingly appeared more interested in the anime than the real girl though... last night I became very depressed and I wonder the convenience of the fake versus the real. For me, I have a very difficult time talking to people I don't know and even if I do know them, I'm observed as the kind of person who's not really huggy huggy type and to many I appear intimidating. Heck, I walk down the street at night, just casually walking girls that hapoen by often walk to other side of street. Not to long ago must have been around 10pm I was just casually walking across the street (the same route I have taken for some 16 years) and this girl saw me just walking and hurried inside her condo, quickly locked the door and looked at me through the window as if I were some kind of monster. Nowdays, it seems like the spider...the male does his little dance in front of the female spider and if he doesn't get the dance right the female spider eats the male spider. But if he does get the dance right, they mate and the female eats him anyway. Sexual cannibalism they call it. But in the case of massage and cuddling it just eating away at our wallet instead of the flesh just to have the basic need of being cared for that people like me crave. It's just business, they are professional and treat you well, but is that only because it's their job, they want to retain you as a client, and the affection only lasts as long as the money flows? I don't want to sound offensive to pro's but for me I have never had that kind of affection of a real friend besides my family. And that is what I think women think of me, they will only cuddle if they are being paid to. Anyway...What's your opinion on cuddling fake vs the real people?

  • I have former clients who aren't doing sessions anymore. I still care about them, love hearing updates from them, but time is limited, so I'll never have the time or money to go around visiting, cuddling, hanging out, with EVERY person I care about =( I do wish I had the money to just go around visiting with all my friends though, as most clients eventually become... I love having the opportunity to travel around seeing people who haven't been able to find a quality responsive cuddler yet though. Everyone deserves to be seen.

On the note of anime, I'd like to cite Chobits, my favourite anime which explores this very argument (on my phone so sadly I can't embed the video):

Robots, RealDolls... they may be able to take the place of a human, but they will never be human. They have all sorts of things they can do because they're not human, and a lot of things they can't for the same reasons. The onus is on the human in that "relationship" to accept or reject it as their reality. Even if the object of affection is programmed or not sentient, is the affection and love real to them?

Unless...were you using that whole thing as a metaphor for pro services?

The service is going to differ from pro to pro. I'd argue on this site that there are a lot of folks who do only care about the money. Some of us are enthusiasts who want to help support this movement, and we've made it part of our careers as a result. You maybe just haven't met the right professional for you, or you're only encountering ones who are in it for the money. The good news is, those ones don't last long.

  • @m4wcuddling I think if you Cuddle it and it fulfills you then who is anyone to say otherwise? Does not mean you can’t still pursue women to cuddle. You will find someone eventually.

Dang it, @Catloaf, I was gonna mention Chobits! Beat me to it. And found the perfect clip on YouTube, too. (Since I like it, I embedded it for folks who don't want to leave the site.)

    Length - 9:28

  • I have come to the conclusion that I prefer something I call dedicated touch. I don't want just a warm body to be beside. I don't know exactly what it involves, but being present is a big part of it. Maybe it's attention I want with it?

  • @JasonCuddles There is definitely a lot more to cuddling than just being a warm body. Too many people come here thinking this is easy money and that's all they need to do 😞

  • I have a huge teddy bear. His name is Rumpelstiltskin. He's a pretty good snuggler. My body heat and his fur keep me toasty. Only problem is he doesn't hug me back or pet my head πŸ™

Anywhosers good luck on your cuddle hunt!

  • No. A class or classes on interpersonal communication, rhetorical analysis or body language would be money better spent. Otherwise, you will end up falling prey to people that use terms like client and friend interchangably while reaching into your pockets. Fake is fake. Real is real.

I think that man's view of women is toxic and distorted. Sounds like he needs therapy or something. Not all women are out to decieve him. Sometimes there's even something within us that we need to improve. For example some people because they think they are so nice they'll put up with people they should've dropped and that they could've ages ago. Then blame the other completely saying "I am a nice ______" though, _________ always mistreats me. It's important to remember that not everyone is appreciative of your nice-ness. Nor will treat you better. So then it becomes one's responsibility to start leaving that circle.

If one has a more or less balanced* view of others. However, they simply cannot get someone, then that's different.

I don't see an issue with using objects to a certain extent. However, it's also important for us to continue the effort to connect with one another and find human connections in whichever types* we can get and want them.

  • "Accidentally" found yourself on a female life size doll site? Hmmm, ok, sure, got it. ;)

  • ^ Haha, I kinda had that reaction too lol.

  • I want the Whitney Cummings robot. (Anyone who has seen her new Netflix stand-up special will know what this is referring to.)
