What are cuddle etiquettes? If you can be frank what’s ok and what’s not?
Theres some tips in the Service Agreement.
For me, it's very simple:
OK: *Ask before you touch someone or make efforts to change the experience *Communicate openly and honestly about expectations *Respect the answers given to you (yes/no) *Be aware that every person has boundaries
Not OK: *Making the decision on behalf of someone else regarding whether they would like to be touched or not *Communicating covertly to further your own agenda *Disregarding when someone has said 'no' *Ignoring boundaries when they have been communicated clearly
Also, there's the Terms of Service to consider. That outlines pretty well what isn't okay on CC.
I would like to add to some of the cons that @Catloaf brought up. Most of the cons listed are actually legally criminal. The fact she has to even list them is chilling in itself because you would think they would be self-evident.
Not on the list but super important (and again would think would be common sense): HYGIENE
Hygiene includes being freshly showered, and scent free. Consent is huge: do not engage without getting a verbal yes. Common sense is very uncommon
"Safeporting" is saying what you're going to do before you do it. This, of course, AFTER you get a verbal yes. If we've agreed to spoon and caress, then ask "May I get behind you?" or "I'm coming in behind you". It's still good practice to let them know we are approaching.
@Catloaf , great summary. One of the things I always do at the start of a session is make sure the woman knows that I respect all boundaries and the cuddler needs to tell me if I am touching her where she doesn't want to be touched.
@Marino Take a shower a few hours before meeting. I also always dress nicely before actuality cuddling and make sure that my cuddling clothing is clean, fresh and fits well!!!
I also always ask the cuddler before actually meeting them, what they prefer I wear and don't wear.........
@Catloaf Can you explain what this means or give an example?
Communicating covertly to further your own agenda
Thanks
@SpartanGuy it means communicating off-site before a booking.
@SpartanGuy What FC said is a form of it, yes. Covert communication is when you say one thing, but it means another. One example I can give is when someone asks about boundaries I've already stated, and they try to skirt me into loosening them up so they can touch me inappropriately. I have a general rule; you don't touch me above the knees or below the belt, and I don't do it to you either. We keep our arms and hands focused on embraces, back rubs etc, there's just no reason that either of us needs to touch the other's thighs. I had one guy ask over and over if he could touch my thigh just below the belt, and he tried to come up with some sort of innocent explanation for why he wanted to do that. He kept that convo going in circles till I decided he was being manipulative. And covert communication IS manipulative a lot of the time.
Would like to add to hygiene : no strong fragrances.
Some of these are not essential to etiquette such as fragrance. Fragrances can go either way. There are ladies that have said they love them and some that like it light and some that did not want any at all. The essential thing is to communicate before a cuddle to find out. Otherwise, cologne is a matter of opinion. Other things that are a matter of opinion and require communication—adult beverages, 420, background music, tv etc. These all depend on the taste of your partner.
@2dogmom I second the importance of this!! Hygiene for me has been the biggest turn off with my cuddling experiences with people from this site and off this site. Yes, you would think its common sense, but even someone not as ocd with cleanliness as me would notice unwashed or smelly sheets, bad body odour or a very unkept appearance. Now, i don't, and would never expect hotel type cleanliness or that the person smells like fresh daisies, but for the sake of making the cuddling experience pleasant, please people SHOWER and dont be iching and scratching the hell outta your dead skin cells!!
@FunCartel , I'm allergic to strong fragrances and so are many other people. If you plan on wearing somethng , you should ask the person first if they mind it or allergic to them.
@Lev136 it would help to read the entire post before jumping on me. I said that fragrances are not an essential etiquette do or don’t. I said that asking your partner what they like or dislike is. I never said go ahead and wear fragrances. Communication is essential, not a yes or no on fragrances because I have run into those who LOVE fragrance and those who HATE it and everything in between. There is no absolute answer on fragrances, hence why communication is essential.
Hygiene ! Hygiene! Hygiene!! Brush your teeth or get a Gum!!! Pleaseee
