Having scrolled through all the discussion threads since the inception of this site I feel moved to revisit this topic. My intention is for people to take different points of view on the best documented ways of engaging meaningful cuddle interactions while dealing with loneliness/ aloneness. Both are two different terms that mean different things. They can be discussed together but not interchangeably. Loneliness is a state of mind regarding how one sees oneself in relation to others and his/her interaction with others. One can be lonely even while being among others. Aloneness is a choice one makes to be with oneself and is content with. Is there such a thing as a lonely cuddle? What are some of the meaningful ways that people can address their feelings of loneliness and still maintain meaningful and enriching cuddle experiences and connections? Should these people just shut up and stay away from this site? Is it possible that over time websites and forums like these increase and cultivate feelings of loneliness and isolation among folks who just don't belong? Or is it a more systemic part of our world culture that fosters such an experience? Or a combination of the impact of technology and socioeconomic forces colliding into each other? What role do we as a community play in addressing this concern? Or is it none of our business to begin with? What standards do we hold ourselves to? Who is 'we' in this community anyway?
