What things should one consider when choosing a topic for a discussion thread? What are the most effective strategies for opening the conversation on a discussion thread? Should one open with rhetorical questions, sarcastic comment, provocative statements, anecdotes or moral didactic stories? What topics are good ones to spark open minded conversation in the community?

    One would think that all discussion threads on a platonic cuddling site would be about platonic cuddling.

    @Wesk Have you looked at the threads in the general forum? Not that many are about cuddling.

    I understand @Blueiris, but I was stating an opinion. I do not like social threads on websites here and or anywhere else on the net. From my experiences, all they do is cause senseless dramas while having very little substance. I am pretty much homebound these days and spend a lot of time on the net.

    I have a word for common internet threads (sitters) that I discover this after my health drew me into early retirement and years before I find out Cuddlecomfort.com.

    @Bles I like cuddling related topics that enhance the community in some way and allow people to give their own insights. Lots of examples in this collection:

    I think it's helpful to leave it open ended and allow for different opinions rather than giving an immediate / definitive answer to a question you ask in a thread. Personal experiences are always good to hear.

    Most of the most interesting and commonly used threads are not about cuddling at all. I find it is also good to have threads that show interests and commonalities in people. This site would get a little boring if it were all about cuddling all of the tine.

    @pmvines Exactly. Given the number of people on CC, there is not that many people posting in the forum anyway. Limit it and, well, you get the point.
