Reasons someone might check a pro's profile frequently.

edited October 2019 in General

I've read comments here that it's not advisable to check profiles frequently. The reasons include everything from it indicates the person has no life to the person is stalking. The stalking claim I can't understand. I don't see how looking at an Internet profile is stalking. Plus all the person has to do is block the person looking at the profile.

Here are some reasons someone might check a pro's profile frequently. I don't bother with non pros so this isn't about them. 1. Specials. Sometimes pros will have specials for a limited time posted in their profile. So as not to miss out on the specials someone might check frequently to see if there are any. 2. New karma. When the cuddler list shows the cuddler's karma number has increased. Someone might want to read the new karma. If it's someone the person has seen maybe it's to compare experiences. If it's someone the person hasn't seen maybe it's to get a better idea of what to expect thus helping decide if the person wants to see the cuddler. 3. A new
Photo. If the cuddler list shows a new photo for the cuddler the person might want to see it better in the profile or see if there are other new photos. This also might help decide whether the person wants to see the cuddler. If it's someone the person has seen maybe the profile is checked to see the photo better and out of curiosity to see if there are any new photos.

I think it's alright to check a profile frequently if you aren't stalking, but at the same time the person you're viewing won't know why you're checking the profile so often. With so many creeps about it's not too unreasonable to assume someone checking very frequently has less than wholesome intentions with doing so. This applies to enthusiasts as well as pros.

I'll add a 4th to your list: having a bad memory. My memory's abyssmal for certain things and when I'm messaging someone or considering messaging someone I tend to open their profile a few times and close it thinking I've got all the info I need for the message memorised only to be proven wrong. Being a bit stubborn + bad memory is a bad combo.

Way around that is to open the message in another tab which is common sense, but I imagine a lot of the less tech savvy people on here won't do that.

  • I agree with you. I feel like some people are really overzealous in what they consider creepy or stalkery behavior. Especially for pros... your profile is basically an advertisement for a service you are trying to sell. Don’t you want people looking at it?

The most common reason I may click on a profile multiple times is that fairly often I consider seeing a new pro I haven’t seen before and so I click on a bunch of pros in my area... and I don’t remember the details of people I haven’t seen, so in a week when I again consider seeing a new pro, I’ll inevitably click on a bunch of the same pros again... and again... etc.

@Zundar Yes including in bad memory is forgetting the rates. Most pros have lists of different rates for different session lengths and travel time. Someone might want to recheck if the rates are in the person's range or what session length might be best.

  • I fully agree with all your reasons, in fact I regularly check pro's profiles myself. All around the country as well as different ages and ranges.
If it's a reputable Pro she(for topics sake, yes there are a few male pro's) should have no problem with a person checking. In fact I've witnessed all the things you've mentioned myself. I've even had a few men on here ask me to look at a pros profile to give them a women's prospective. One gentleman even gave me a list of 6 once! It was actually quite fun being both asked for my opinion and respected enough in my own right that they would want my opinion of a woman he was going to hire.
In fact the good pros value the traffic and monitor who visits repeatedly. A few wonderful women have even reached out to me asking if I was curious about booking or if I had any questions she could answer about the business side of things.
Thanks for the wonderful reinforcement of the positive, logical, non-stalkerish reasons to frequently visit a Pro's profile @snugbuddy. If she's a true Professional she won't mind in the least because good Pro's have more business than they can handle and don't mind a visit as she's protected herself from any potential stalking. It is a public internet profile after all with no requirements to view it other than the acknowledgement that the profile belongs to a Professional.

Much like an earlier post if you do get blocked she's probably not worth the money since she's probably a flake or some such thing that would make her fear repeat visits from an anonymous man who isn't able to track her address, or any personal details she doesn't wish to share openly.

  • I feel you on the bad memory bit. If it isn't written down (somewhere I remember writing it down), then that information essentially doesn't exist. I don't begrudge people looking at my profile often, though I am likely to send a message asking if there's anything I can help them with. Some people are too shy to reach out initially themselves, or don't know where the boundaries are in asking questions, so I like to help that along and reassure people that it is ok to talk to me.

  • When on my phone I don't see pics by persons username in forums so I might look out of curiosity and then realize I've seen them half a dozen times already lol . I also genuinely so tend to fumble around with the screen and will accidentally click on a person . Not an issue though when on my computer just when on my phone

From the pro's perspective I have no problem with repeat visits to my profile even if the person never says hi. I try and change my pics regularly and I continually will update my profile with my planned hosting dates and the occasional special.

  • I sometimes check a pro profile again if i cant remember what their profile said and wanted to revisit the idea of booking a session with them or if i wanted to see if they have any rate specials going on etc. Could be any number of legit reasons to check a pros profile again.

  • I think the feature that tells who has viewed the profile should be removed. I sometimes don’t look at a profile even once to avoid getting a message back from the person (usually a pro soliciting business). Usually I am just curious of price/ karma.

  • It could also be that they can’t remember user names well on the forum and are looking at the site on mobile. They check the profile to see the picture which helps them know who they’re talking to.

Personally I’ve given up and don’t remember who posts what for the most part. I just read text and reply when I want.

  • If "Pro's" don't like people looking at their profile multiple times, perhaps they should find another way to make money. People change photos, update profiles etc. If you don't want people looking at you. Use 1 photo and never change it or update anything about yourself. I find it weird all these constant complaints and people getting blocked for viewing a profile.

  • @Kense i don't think it was said that pros are complaining or blocking people for looking at their profile . More just generally asking a general question about repeated profile looks

  • No, but I've seen this topic come up before as did the OP and people have been blocked for looking at people's profiles or received messages questioning why a person was looking at their profile.

@Kense as @pmvines said there weren't any pros complaining about this, all the pros that replied here were in agreement that it's understandable. I don't see any constant complaining.

And even if they didn't like it and were complaining, why would that require them to stop doing this and do something else? if people had good reason for complaining then that's fine, and if they didn't have a good reason then they'd probably get lambasted for mentioning those reasons.

If it just came down to "if you don't want people looking at you" then you might have a point but that's not really why anyone might realistically have an issue with getting view spammed, it's not like they'd be so shy that they couldn't handle people looking at them. The frequency and focus of the views are what are in question here not just getting views to begin with.

Some pros reacting badly does not equate to there being constaint complaints. I'm starting to see a pattern with people that put pro or pros in quotations and being overly hostile out of nowhere/derailing threads with random negativity.

@Zundar unfortunately there is and always will be the pros in quotation marks club .as well as people who want to complain aboutt women on here in general , pro and non pro alike . People have bad or simply a lack of experiences on here with folks and they get mad and wanna place blame . It's human nature . I get it . I don't think they realize though how much negativity they are putting out there and how much of a cloud it casts over them when trying to actually connect with folks . I may have my share of complaints and beefs from time to time but one thing you won't see me complain about is a lack of cuddle pals . Goes to show how much you get what you give ...

  • OP was specifically talking about "Pro's" was he not? He straight up said, "I'm not talking about non-pro's". So who else would I be addressing if not Pro's? Obviously I'm not the only person who has seen this considering the OP is talking about being advised to not look at pro's profiles too often.

While you think everybody is always attacking pro's. I think there's too many sensitive pro defenders really defensive and hostile at anybody who say's something about a pro.

  • edited October 2019

Right I understand that. I am saying I don't believe OP is saying specifically that this has happened to him or about an incident he experienced . It seems more a general inquiry . And the women who have responded though very few are not saying it is an issue when people visit their profile . If I misinterpreted your statement I have no problem owning up to it . It just seemed like yet another rent about women not responding , not being nice , not doing what you want them to do or act how you want them to act etc . So if you were misunderstood in this case , then I apologize.

Impostrophe! Impostrophe! It's an apostrophe where it shouldn't be! What is this pro's? Say's? You shouldn't be there, you impostor!

Say, you wouldn't happen to be a grocer, would you, @Kense?

  • Come one, come all --- feel free to click on my profile every five minutes if it makes your day. I am also one of those that look at profiles often and like to stay interested in those I talk with or potentially may want to see if I'm in their area of the woods. :)

  • Some profiles are just interesting

  • Our profiles are our advertising pages, pros or not. Please feel free to look at them as often as you like. There is karma to review, pictures to look at, tidbits we put in to read and re-read if you don't remember whether you've seen it or not, and I update my schedule/availability in mine on occasion.
I don't reach out to anyone who hasn't inquired first, so your browsing is safe and will likely go unnoticed by me.

Our profiles are a mini-webpage for our cuddling, and we should be keeping it sorta fresh if we remember to do so. I like looking at profiles myself, especially because most of us cuddlers are a pretty cool and interesting bunch. Please enjoy perusing!

  • I wanna second what @PinkLipstick22 says. You’re free to browse and view as many times as you want. I wouldn’t message anybody first who hasn’t messaged or inquired first with me. Sometimes I do have updates on my profile to review.

I do visit profiles a lot as well just to see new karma and details if added as well. So I wouldn’t call anybody out as a stalker cuz I probably pop in their radar too as a visitor too lol

I don’t think anything of it, it’s just naturally human curiosity. Sometimes members see a profile or a summary that stands out to them so they frequent a specific page.

Or maybe they would like to book in the future but checking a pro’s schedule and availability to make sure they book a time that is convenient for both. I actually take it as a compliment when people members frequent my page—there must be something interest that keep them coming back to view it, even if they don’t book or message me.

It’s the internet, and it’s a free world, members should be able visit pages as often as they want without worries of being labeled a “stalker”

As a pro, I usually only message the people who have already viewed my profile first & that are in my recent list.
I assume they're interested and will always send a message asking them if they are. I've never had someone message back saying they weren't interested cuddling.... and only twice had someone say that they don't want to pay for it.
I think some people are just shy or browsing AND forgetful (just like me) & that it's a Segway to starting a conversation to find out if, after viewing my profile, they are interested in a cuddle experience with me.
For people I've cuddled with before and they keep coming back to view my profile, I take it as a compliment- although it will knock visitors off the 'who viewed' me list. I remedy that by trying to sign in often.

MOD Edit: Removed advertisement. Please use the Pro Requests section of the forum, found under Cuddle Requests. [SoulcuddlerZ]

@AmorAmor not sure if you meant it that way but including your location and a picture comes across like you're attempting to advertise your profile here.

  • @AmorAmor - Just to let you know, a Segway is an electric personal transportation vehicle. I think the word you meant to use is 'segue'. They sound the same but have quite different meanings.

  • I'm with @PinkLipstick22 - don't be afraid, we're here for you to get to know just as well as anybody else on the site through our profiles. I also don't reach out to profile viewers. The only thing I send without an initial inquiry is a welcome message with 10 tips for success in finding enthusiasts, so people know what the site is about. That's just for people in my local area though.

If I view you, it's likely because you said something on the forums that made me curious about you, or I like your picture.

If I view another pro, it's usually because they've said something on the forum that moved me and I'm like "I bet their profile is awesome". Also, some of you are just really gorgeous and I'm a simple woman. I need to look. 😆

  • @evevanity, StellaLiz, Miss Adventurous, and PinkLipstick22. So true. We look for deals, new info listed in profile, a pro coming near my region that I didn't expect, or additional karmas to back up that you may be a pro to cuddle with even if a client never had no interest to go to that particular city but a good profile changes that. I view some pros as motivation to prepare for that trip to meet and cuddle and have potential sessions to come and I never initiate or respond to them until I am able to go to them for a session. The disadvantage is some may leave the site before you can getter your trip ready because some pros don't like to talk for months until you actually book.

  • I am new to this site and still learning how to do things. I check pros profiles a lot, looking up different ones, trying to figure out who to see eventually. Unfortunately, the few i really resonate with, in regards to they are into spirituality too, like me or are good decent evolved, they do not host. So that is one of the things i am looking for, if they host or not.

Also, as i am learning how to navigate this site, things like karma, friends, location miles from me, etc, i keep going back and checking.

I had no clue that it might be a issue to some that looking at their profile too much is a red flag. I know i am sincere and honest and doing nothing wrong, so if someone has a issue, it is on their end, not mine.

I live 45 minutes from Phoenix, so trying to figure out who is closest to me too. I keep checking that.

So far, i have not been blocked by anyone and i have had one pro see i visited her profile and sent me a message saying thanks for visiting my profile and let me know if you are interested in a session. Other than that, no issues so far with looking at pros profiles.
