I like thriller/horror movies that make you think. Nightmare on Elm Street- the Final Nightmare. The Game. Invasion of the Body Snatchers. And any Twilight Zone or Alfred Hitchcock Presents shows.
Oh wow! This is an awesome list of scary movies I gotta watch again. One thing that terrifies me and I can’t even bring myself to be in the same room while it’s on the tv is Caillou. Ugh... when he starts whining about everything, my skin crawls... Gotta hand it to those crazy Canadians for coming up with that horror sandwich.

I love the orginal Shining as well! But nothing beats watching the Grudge series with a group and sneaking a startle scare on one or two of my fellow viewers!

I like many different styles of horror movies, so rather than list all of my favourites, I'll list my favourites in my favourite genres:
1.) Paranormal -- It's a really close tie between "The Conjuring" franchise and the "Sinister" duology.
2.) Slasher -- "You're Next"
3.) Cosmic horror -- "The Void" (probably my all-time favourite horror movie.
4.) Sci-fi -- "Cloverfield"
5.) Found footage -- "V.H.S."
