I feel gruntled today and thought I’d share well wishes to everyone. The sun is shining now and the light is whelming.
My son graduated last night so a little nervous for him but happy as well, maybe a little bit grieving on my end for he is officially at the next point in his life and i have to accept he is no longer a child
@pmvines That is a tough one. Good luck
My step son is graduating today, or actually my ex wife’s son and i think that has me excited. I got one this far!
“It was a new day yesterday, but it’s an old day now.”
I can't generalize on how I'm feeling today since my feelings change throughout the day. The low point is usually when I get up since I always feel I could do with another hour's sleep. High-points are lunchtime and when the mail arrives, since I might get a package.
@pmvines and BashfulLoner congrats on the graduations. I'm feeling really good today, because it's Thursday, which is the day before Friday! We're leaving to go on vacation on Saturday! Yay!
Congratulations, @BashfulLoner and @pmvines - graduation is a huge accomplishment. Adulting on their part, in theory, begins...
I had 3 hours sleep last night and took a flight from Dallas home. If not for coffee, there might have been more disgruntlement.
Shine on, peeps, shine on.
Just got back from Boston. Had two cuddles. They were alright. Off to Phoenix next.
Disconnected yet reflective It's soothing to gain objectivity from surfing through 8 years of discussion threads to see that thoughts I may be having today we're once held by someone yesterday. It makes me reflect that I am never really alone. It's painful to have someone reach out to you with the intention to be kind yet repeatedly insults and alienates with poor choice of words and emotional distance that is often condescending. It's hard to part ways with a person who insists on treating you like pity sick case that needs backhanded closed loop greetings and backslapping compliments that only serve to characterize you as a weak simple-minded damsel in chronic distress. That you never can own a personality, a mind, a spirit that he or she can talk to freely. You are no longer normal once you make yourself vulnerable. You're just a thing to be pitied and talked at like a tree bark. It hurts when you have disconnect from such folks. They live in a bubble. Like we all do. But their bubble is normal Everyman. Mine is weak and off the wall. So what's the point?
@pmvines and @BashfulLoner congrats! I'm sure you two are proud! 💚 I need more cuddles as I've had a stressful couple of weeks. Overnights specifically because it helps me sleep better.
@pmvines and @BashfulLoner congrats! Hugs @pmvines he's got a great dad. He'll do just fine!
Lol thank you all for the well wishes, this thread is kinda old and I had to scroll up to see what it was I was being given congrats for
I got up this morning, checked the obituary's, I was NOT listed, so I'm feeling good !!!!!, a great nice day in Fl.
I’m good today. Tired! Worked from 12-9 and looking forward to coffee with a friend tomorrow.
Well, got a new car to replace the one that died on me, so some stress is gone.
Color me embarrassed for not noticing it was an old thread 😂🤣😆😂
@pmvines i had to do the same thing. I was hoping i won something i didn’t know about. But thank you everyone, preciate it.
Not so great...
Just got a notice from the Motor Vehicles Division that my car is due for emissions testing. The last time I had it done it took many visits to the mechanic and cost a small fortune. I have to find a new repair shop because that guy went out of business. Not looking forward to it.
@ UKGuy I hope you're having success in finding a new mechanic to prepare your car for emissions testing. Feeling very connected today. Had a long conversation with my mother this evening after many weeks of us trying to track each other down. Very fulfilling and reconnecting as only a mother and daughter can have. Enjoyed a thoughtful, probing conversation filled with laughter and funny stories with a couple of amazing, open-minded and open-hearted gentlemen. It reminded me and reinforced the importance of the voice in the process of setting up cuddle meets. It's one thing to message and text and exchange pictures. But it's something very special about hearing the human voice and being heard by human ear. Even more specific is the chance dialogue gives to gauge a person's spirit and personality. To decide on the potential of a cuddle. Just the ability and opportunity to hear a person talk and talk to that person is an art and a gift. A blessing that I cherish and treasure everyday.
