Is there a way to change your username on this site?
Not yet, but you can create a new account, but you lose any karma and need to resend friend requests, and the messages won't transfer over. Join date would also be reset. Are you having a negative experience with your current name?
You can request to change it just message @mark to ask
We actually put out a silent update two days ago to allow for this. But think carefully - you're limited to one change per year.
To change your username, just go to Settings and click 'Change' button next to the username field.

Oh, a new feature. Thanks, @Mark for tirelessly working to improve the community. We really appreciate everything you do.Now I can change it something refreshing and cool like Mints, then the next year I can change it to the CuddlerFormelyKnownAsMints.

@Mark - If you change your username will all previous forum posts then automatically switch to the new username or will they remain tagged with the old username?
They will switch over to the new username.
Sometimes the name might have an interpretation that wasn't considered, such as it being a slang word ; or read badly with different breaks. e.g. psychotherapist
