Having a regular cuddle buddy - what's it like?

For those of you who currently have a regular cuddle buddy or have had one in the past, what is it like? How often did you meet? Do you consider yourselves friends? If you have multiple buddies at the same time, how is that?

I have not had a regular cuddle buddy, so I'm curious to hear about your experiences.

    Had one since mid February 2019. Probably met 12-13 times through October.

    It didn't change much after the first session. First time was full of anticipation, nerves, apprehension and relief that it went well.

    Definitely became friends, mainly through conversations in between sessions. Never met outside for lunch, dinner or public cuddling.

    Some other repeat cuddlers lasted less time, had maybe 3 sessions but stayed in touch.

    I haven't cuddled through this site but no reason it should be different

    I have a regular buddy now (we have cuddled five times, met for lunch a handful of times too without cuddling). She has turned out to be a really good friend as well as cuddler. The thing that makes our cuddling wonderful is that we can do it in silence for a few hours and not have to say one word. We cuddle once a month because we both have busy schedules. She texted me today and we are going to cuddle tonight :-)

    I have had a few other cuddle interactions on and off this site. I would not have any trepidation on reaching out to them for a second session because all were great experiences.

    I hope you find what you are looking for! Try meeting people outside of this site as well. You would be surprised on how many good people there are out in the world that just want a platonic friend to cuddle :-)

    I have had a regular cuddle buddy for about a year. We met here. We live pretty far apart, so we cuddle whenever we get a chance. Sometimes every other month, sometimes two weeks apart. We have become friends and message apart from cuddling. The best part of having a regular it's that there is no more trepidation. Getting together means no trial and error of what positions work and which don't because we know already. There is ultimate comfort and safety from the first minute.

    I've had a few regular cuddle buddies - one has become a friend of several years, and we now have a queerplatonic relationship. Others have lasted a few months and moved on. The frequency of contact varied, as some I saw once a week and others once every month or two. Some text and chat in between, other's don't. I consider all my cuddle buddies to be a friendship of sorts, even if we don't talk much or interact outside cuddling.

    It's a huge blessing when you build quality connections with one or two regular folks regardless of how often you get to cuddle. The time spent maintaining those bonds is priceless. You really only appreciate it when you don't have it.

    I so look love this thread! I have a regular cuddle buddy and we meet every week sometimes twice a week. We have an overnight and a weekday where it's a few hours after work. He's actually here bothering me right now lol

    I’m apart of a regular cuddle group. We meet up usually around 6 to 8 times a year depending on the groups availability. I don’t have much contact with the group between cuddle sessions but it’s always a great time when we meet up as this has been going on for three years now.

    That would be my dream to find a regular local cuddle buddy. Hasn't happened so far, in almost 2 years on this site.

    Yes @SoftPetals. The cuddle parties in NY is how I came in contact with my cuddle group. It’s hosted by a professional and everyone goes over the rules before the event begins. Let me know if you make it to an event and if you liked it :)

    I have a cuddle buddy which I see her once a week for the last three months . She is the sweetest person with a big heart . I still see other cuddlers but my regular cuddle buddy is the best .

    @UKGuy bummer ain’t it.... I also joined the site being very optimistic in finding a cuddle buddy. However, it only took a few weeks to realize it's never going to happen. I’d say about 1% of men on this site are lucky enough to find a cuddle buddy. I also believe less than 10% of non-pro members have actually cuddled with anyone from the site.

    Everyone is too scared to take that initial step and they won’t let their guard down. It stinks but that’s the way it is and I don’t see it changing any time soon. People seem to let their guard down after they decide to charge money for cuddling. That’s the part I don’t understand. It’s all too silly for me and why I left a few months ago.

    I am my own regular and forever cuddle buddy. I wrap my arms around my shoulders and massage my humerus. I sometimes cradle myself in the foetal position and lightly Massage my back and thighs. I extend that foetal hold and rub my toes into my heels and arch. And rock myself to relaxed.comfort and quiet breaths. In between cuddles with others I'm all I have. And I cherish my ability to do that. It's Soo much better than calling, texting, emailing or video chatting somebody . No insults. No distancing. No condescending. No shaming. I just feel at peace. Serene!

    I have gone to a few of the cuddle parties in NY and have just started meeting people individually. I am hoping to find a regular cuddle buddy. I am in Long Island, NY and there do not seem to be so many people close to me.

    Having a regular cuddle buddy is great! I currently have one cuddle buddy--partly by circumstance but mostly by choice. We've been cuddle buddies for almost a year now and have developed a friendship outside of cuddling, so it's great to do an activity like go to the movies and follow that up with a cuddle session.

    @Bles I do something similar as I sleep alone. Hug myself. Never tried the toes to heels and arch method though. I also find if I place my hand at my heart and pay attention to my breathing, I can become nicely relaxed.

    Is it called the "foetal" position, because if you curl up that way, your feet'll stay warm ?
    Is the silence of cuddling, one of the benefits ; that physical contact allows the assurance of companionship, with no ongoing effort ?

    Those of you who said that you've had a regular cuddle buddy for 6 months or longer....what if they suddenly started asking for money to cuddle? like 80 bucks an hour? would you just pay it so you wouldn't lose your cuddling buddy?

    @melancholy I wouldn’t begrudge them going pro, but if I suddenly had to start paying I would think we weren’t “buddies” like I thought.

    I have a regular cuddle buddy now but I had to go through a few guys who I asked before I found him. Other guys when asked if they wanted to have a regular meetup thought I was being too "clingy" and wanted a "relationship" beyond cuddling. Nope. And you just missed out on the best cuddle buddy of your life. B)

    PS, my cuddle buddy and I have been meeting for several months and meet about every 2-3 weeks. Because there is so much time between, we cuddle for longer periods (4-5 hours to overnight). I ditto all the comments about the ease of the cuddle once you are cuddle friends.
