If you follow the medical professionals' recommendations for an individual, make sure you get a good diet without too much sugar, and get adequate exercise, with social distancing and some common sense / basic logic, we can get through this thing without overwhelming the hospitals and shutting down too much business.
It's impossible to 100% avoid infection or have a 0% death rate going forward; it's worse than the flu, it's going to ravage through the community until we build immunity, and avoiding it too much can cause it to explode later.
I have a scratched lung that makes me more vulnerable, so I've been studying this thing every day for months, hours every day typically (passively while I work generally), so I think I'm more educated than the average American about it, and I can tell you that a good and properly-maintained immune system will make you safer than full avoidance ultimately.
I really wish people would get more educated and take better steps to protecting themselves, and also that the governments would advise more on this than just shutting things down, because the current situation is not sustainable for our economy, and taken too far will make people more susceptible to being overwhelmed by any virus.
