In lieu of real-life cuddles, my brain has been creating some of its own. I've dreamed of cuddling several times over the past month. Perhaps you can relate to having cozy dreams or daydreams like this.
One dream I had was that my family owned a large house with a bunch of tenants, but I didn't know any of the tenants. One day, I met a woman who lived there in passing. We hugged to greet each other and then just didn't let go. We moved to sit down, still holding each other and got to know each other and cuddled for a good long time. I wish this would happen in real life - you meet a random person and start making small talk, and then it turns into a fantastic cuddle!
Another dream was about a man I knew when I was younger who I found to be very kind and fatherly, but I was also shy around him. In the dream, he hugged the other members of my family good night one by one. When he got to me, he stopped and waited for a moment. He knew that I felt shy and would have hugged me if I had asked. After a moment, he walked away to go to bed. Even though he hadn't touched me, I felt so safe and understood and cozy. He held space for me and respected what I was comfortable with and that was enough.
