Blocking is a very useful feature that is reciprocable. When blocked block back. It makes the communication block mutual, permanent and complete.
Nobody owes anybody anything. Anything: respect, human sensitivity, human dignity, human consideration, nothing. Since nobody owes anybody anything that gives each of us the inalienable right to treat another human being any which way we want. Because we can. Because we have a right to.
Yet we talk about caring for each other and supporting each other and all that sweet sounding meaningless garbage.
Still nobody owes anybody anything. Just move on . Keep your feelings of whatever to yourself: rejection, hurt, insult. Tough. Life. Just move on and suck it up.
Nobody owes anybody anything!
Every talk has it's own convenience. Every moment it's truth. Every sensation it's own interpreted emotion.
Garbage!
Whatever!

So I read a few of the replies and I agree with the blockers who had many valid reasons to block, I also don't think anyone should lose any sleep over it lol but this topic caught my eye because I reached out to a "pro" and she replied and said she would love to schedule a session together. But after I replied I simply asked when would it be a good day and time for her and if she would feel comfortable in exchanging numbers so we can text as communication on the site is suuuuper slow... usually the response I get when I make this request is if it's with a pro they will either exchange numbers and be okay with it right away or they will ask to book the session first and once booked they exchange numbers without a problem and I have never had an issue either way. This "pro's" response was BLOCKED! I was shocked! That was the 2nd time I've ever been blocked. And I just didn't get it... in case you were wondering the 1st time was when the cuddler was reaching out asking for me to book again with her and I didn't want to but trying to be nice I told her I had started seeing someone so I was taking a break so she blocked me LOL
@CozyGuy75 a pro has a right to refuse service and block just like a non pro and doesn't need approval for it . It's possible that you asking right away for her number is a red flag to her . You acknowledge yourself that you are often directed to book the session online per site rules so you must realize that asking them for their number off the bat isn't something they are supposed to be doing and can get reprimanded for
Yes I understand and I agree, that was most likely the reason. I just felt it was too hasty specially after I asked if she would be comfortable vs can I have your number? And after she had agreed to a session... I didn't open with a number request
I hear ya . But the fact that you even asked for it may have put her off . Doesn't mean you have a bad motive behind it , but from the other end I can see how it might be approached with caution
My company has a department that makes "tools" for various purposes, and has a formal Job Request process needing a signature from the requestor's manager.
The role is shared by 2 Managers. One wants a signed Job Request before they will even look at the task, the other wants a discussion to agree the task details so that the Job Request can be accurately worded before it is signed. I don't mind either way, but I have to check beforehand, which Manager is working that day ; because both are very critical if it isn't done the way they want.
Some pros and non-pros similarly want more or less dialogue beforehand, and it can be difficult to know where to pitch. If the speed limit isn't posted on a road, one is simultaneously at risk of being ticketed for driving too fast, or too slow.
