Age is a sum total of how folks wear life experiences and how life experiences wear on them.
Age is not about social labels and psycho psychiatric labels such as maturity and being awoke and so on. Its not about categorizing and characterizing others in a box for one's own mental ease and comfort.
Age is an embrace of timeless life phases and cycles. It's an acknowledgement that growth is fluid and continuous not chronological. And it is also non specific to a number. It's driven by life circumstances unforseen and unplanned. It's a never ending evolution of continuous adaptation and adjustment.
So there is no real thing as an average 40 or 50 year old. Or 20 or 30 year old. Each person is living a journey that is uniquely his own. Behavioral labels simply diminish and often mischaracterise who people are.
What truly counts is person's quality that is freely expressed in one's personality and interaction with others. Often times we allow a negative quality in another to completely shade our perception and perspective of them as human beings. Hence the labels and categories. All we do is polarize and divide each other.
Age is just another construct that is used to divide. It's really a myth that life experience and the wisdom from it only comes with age. Wisdom is a choice one makes to learn and grow from one's mistakes. A commitment to being better with each learned experience and being grateful for it. One can do that at 19 or 50 or 90 years old.
That one does not is not about maturity and whatever other labels we dump on and bury each other with. It's often so much more than a chronological number of life experiences.
Biologically our bodies experience many significant cellular changes as we chronologically age. It's unique to everyone. That includes our brain and how it responds to and deals with different stimuli.
Many ways to view age and the constructs around it. Compatibility in life experiences and personal values and tastes are far more critical to interpersonal interaction than age.
My favourite Indiana Jones quote is where Marian is looking at the state of his body. "You're not the man I knew ten years ago." "It's not the years honey, it's the mileage."
@geoff1000 epic lines from an epic movie.
i personally dont think age matters here. it should be a safe and secure site and people should feel comfortable posting there age. persoanlly ive been told i look younger than my age but i am indeed 30. Hopefully aging gracefully allows me to still look young in my fifties lol. I have cuddled older age groups and the youngest was 24. and the younger one seemed to feel alittle intimidated by me (the woman) being older. Age doesnt matter to me. i would respectfully like people to be honest but i dont usually ask rightful age. some feel uncomfortable.
@littermate Please excuse my crankiness. I should not have skipped the prune juice this morning.
Here we go again. Another thread stating that age shouldn't matter, does not matter to me etc. etc. And surprise, surprise almost every response agrees. Obviously, it does matter, otherwise there wouldn't be a 'preferred age' question on the profile. There is a multi-billion dollar indiustry in marketing products to make you appear younger (mostly aimed at women). Just yesterday, I watched a TV infomercial from Cindy Crawford marketing the 'Meaningful Beauty' line of products. Among them: Youth-activating melon serun, Anti-aging day creme, Age-recovery night creme, and Lifting eye creme. Of course, she claims these products are why she looks so young. She's never had cosmetic surgery, oh no.
@UKGuy - It's highly subjective. On the preferred age question, it says "doesn't matter" if you don't fill it out.
@UKGuy I can only speak for myself and personally age does not matter. I remember a post you had made a good while back where you had said you wanted to cuddle with people the age of or around the age of your daughters. So even you have your preferences and reasons for them . I think a lot of people don't put as much thought into age as one would think . Although since there is a gender imbalance on here I can see where men may be less likely to care where as women would have more of a selection to be more choosy with. Also with pros , even if they have preferences in their personal lives, when it comes to clients they are not supposed to discriminate
And @UKGuy please don't read that as a criticism , I know that with you wanting to cuddle people more around your daughters age comes from a nurturing parental place
On this site, I have always been age “doesn’t matter”. I keep my preference open and most of my cuddle buddies seen to be 20 to 30s years older than me, can relate to my life goals/accomplishments and many look younger. When I cuddle with someone around my age or younger, it’s a different experience but all have value to me. I am speaking from my experience but also believe that others should follow thier preferences and comfort level.
in response to a point in the OP, I dated a woman who was in her 40s, but on numerous occasions she would be asked for ID when buying alcohol. And I wouldn't be able to buy it after she had been challenged, because the law prohibits adults buying for minors, actually had to drive home, and go back again with her ID. When I was visiting her in hospital, for several weeks the staff assumed I was her step dad, I guess I look older than my actual age
I'm open to cuddling anyone, male or female though I'm hetro. And any age, right up to 90s. I too wonder why people have quite restrictive age ranges for what as they point out clearly is a platonic human cuddle. But everyone is entitled to set their own boundaries, and I do respect that, I just wonder why, especially as most of us have relatives ranging from kids, to elderly.
@littermate ~ THAT'S IT!! "...when someone is closer to my child's age than mine..." <<< I always feel like saying, "Aw, Babe---I can introduce you to my ____________ (much younger female relative)!" lol
The reindeer stays! heehee! It HAS served as an excellent screening tool--- no one sends me "hoochie coochie messages!" Humor is big, for me, too, but I just don't enjoy some of the material that's CALLED comedic humor, now. And I worry about the conversations we'd have... "No..um.. I really DON'T watch Empire." <<See??
Honestly, though, the squeamishness might leave if I were to meet someone younger in person. I mean, it ALWAYS blows me away, the immensity of the experience of meeting a person in real-life! (That sounds SOOOO NEUROTIC! lol) The sparkling, intelligent eyes, the tone and fullness of the voice, witty comebacks or--even better---talking trash! See? If someone were to come correct, like that, I'd probably forget all about this danged age thing! lol Imajen
p.s., I still don't think I'll get very far past 40, though! hahahaha!!!! Old people!!
@ImajenMoon Somehow I got into a conversation with someone who was I think under 40, like 35? Can't remember exactly. There was some sense we might cuddle and he was brand new and I suggested we just get together and have tea, go for a walk, and see. Neither of us really felt to cuddle that time, but the conversation was awesome. I told him he could ask anything about cuddling, about women, and it was so sweet. Where do you really get to do that, you know? I felt like Auntie Littermate - my own nephews probably wouldn't hang with me like that. This context is so awesome in that it can sometimes set up contact without all the "isms" so that we can humanly connect. I likely would have felt fine cuddling with him and we probably would have shrieked with laughter over it. I love that about this site. The possibilities of cuddling humans abound, at least, as I hear, for us non-pro women. I understand it's a little more challenging for the guys because there are so few of us. Alas. I wish cuddle partners for all.
I gotta see where you live so that I can dream of a road trip where we have coffee and spit it out laughing.
@pmvines - I dont know where you get the impression I want to cuddle people my daughters age from. My profile states no preference for age or race and has done for almost all the time I've been on this site. I would appreciate your not spreading lies about me.
@UKGuy In his post of August 18, @pmvines refers to one of your posts "a good while back" saying precisely that. I'm sure if he can find that earlier post, or not, it would help the discussion. I often remember text, much more accurately than I remember the source of it ; so have mistakenly attributed opinions, to the wrong people.
I don't get a lot of cuddling cause I'm older .older men just are not attractive but we need cuddling too.lots of us are all alone.
@UKGuy it was from around when you first joined , was a post you had made and had gotten some flack about it . I don't think you said it to mean that you only wanted to cuddle people that are range , just that you liked it because of the fact that you missed your daughters . You had meant it in a nurturing sense . . If I am getting you confused with someone else I apologize , which is always possible. Don't mean anything bad by it, or judging for it.
@comforcuddler - Looks may fade over time, but one thing that doesn't is your personality and your character. If somebody doesn't want to talk to you just because if your age or your looks, you don't need them in your life anyway.
Most guys aren't gonna have much luck on a site like this for finding non-pro women to cuddle with only because there are too many non-pro men and only a few non-pro women.
I decided to go to school so if I end up alone in life, I'll still be an electrical engineer. Nobody can take that away from me.
I agree that age shouldn't be a factor in this at all. My first cuddle experience was with someone who I would't "swipe right on" because of her age. It didn't stop me from booking the session, showing up, and having an amazing experience. It helps that she's exceptional and awesome energy.
I'm a 28 year old female and prefer to cuddle with someone younger than my parents. Cuddling older men makes me feel uncomfortable. Everyone should feel free to have their preferences. We never know what people have been thorough
@butterflypanda Absolutely.
I’ll always have people who say I don’t look my age. So I guess it never matters personally to me. I’ll tell people my age and they’ll be like “oh you look like you can pass for ____” usually younger.
Nothing under 26...I’m not going to jail.
lol @lovelyhugs. As long as they're over 18, age is just a number.
@Mike403 In my case, a very BIG number.
