This question is aimed more towards enthusiasts than those who are pro.
Before Covid, how often did you get together for some cuddles? If you haven't been lucky to have been cuddling before Covid, how often do you see honestly see yourself meeting up for cuddles?

  • @PurpleFairy90 - I've only seen one person from this site who was a pro whom I've been seeing once a month for 3 years until COVID hit. I've never been lucky enough to cuddle with an enthusiast. :'(

  • Honestly I’ve given up on cuddling. At least in this manner. I just haven’t had any luck before Covid so I’m sure it will be difficult. I check in now and then just in case. For enthusiasts, even with pros i most times don’t make it work. I guess I’m an involuntary cuddles.

@PurpleFairy90 I've had wonderful cuddle sessions with @Jennee and @clairebear420 within the past 3 months. We were safe and everyone seemed to leave fairly healthy.

  • I'd be stoked to have an every other week, mini-cuddle-fest (3+ hours), with someone who I click with on a friend level too... So we're comfortable messaging and chatting in between our meet-ups.

  • @quixotic_life yeah, a lot of these cuddlers are only all about the business. I have had several interactions where the cuddler was just wanting to text about business.

  • I've been lucky enough and have fair share of experiences with pros and enthusiasts. Knocking on the wood 😃

I recently started seeing enthusiasts again we always take precaution like get tested before we setup the session.

  • I had a regular weekly cuddler for about 6 weeks or so and then COVID killed it. I probably could have cuddled more than that. If it was easy, like, the person lived next door, I'd probably cuddle every day.

  • I'd love a cuddlefest at least monthly. I'd also love to win the lottery. They have about the same chances at the moment.

  • @CrossFitNLattes ~ It would make sense for Pros to be "all about the business" and to have firm boundaries around their communication with clients to not blur the lines around their 'relationships'.

I can't imagine how hard that must be given the type of work, but as one who would fall into the 'client' pool (as I'm not a pro) I think messaging them about anything unrelated to appointments would be as inappropriate as messaging one's therapist.

I did see on one pro's profile though that, for $150 a week, they provide something along the lines of "friend-zone" texting. Which may actually appeal to some looking for that extra connection outside of appointments... 🤷‍♀️

But like I said, I'm not a pro. For me, the messaging and chatting is a near necessity for an ongoing cuddle buddy situation. If they weren't down with at least minimal messaging, we wouldn't be a very good match and would likely end up going our separate ways early on.

  • @quixotic_life I agree . Though some pros become genuine friends with people , if you are a client and are sending frequent messages expecting promp responses and are prodding for responses and conversation then you cant really be upset or annoyed if it goes unanswered

@quixotic_life "I think messaging them about anything unrelated to appointments would be as inappropriate as messaging one's therapist"

In my experience it's not generally this extreme. There are pros I consider friends and who actively encourage non-business contact and interaction. I've definitely never been friends with a therapist I've seen, but sometimes with cuddlers it's different. On the whole the personal/professional boundary seems pretty relaxed among many pro cuddlers, for better or worse.

However, where I think @CrossFitNLattes is going wrong, and where he rubs me the wrong way, is that he seems to feel entitled to this kind of friendly non-business talk with pros. I think that's pretty silly. It makes much more sense to assume when you see a new pro that the relationship will be strictly professional, and then if you happen to connect and she makes it clear that she's open to some non-business communication, consider that a nice surprise.

To answer @PurpleFairy90 , as an "enthusiast" who cuddles pros, pre-Covid I cuddled anywhere from 1-3 times per week. Theoretically I would like to cuddle daily, but convenience and money becomes too much of a factor past 3x/week.

  • @SanFranResident I can see where I would rub you the wrong way and agree that my expectations shouldn't be what they are especially in the case of a "pro" that I've been trying to book an appointment with for 7 months now. @Mike403 said it best the other day, "time to move on to a "pro" that is willing to cuddle with you. It's time that I start listening to that advice and I have since the "pro" dropped all communication with me again, I've decided Mike is absolutely right. Plenty of other fish in the sea to worry about one. With the one, we had start communicating trying to get an appointment set up in March and wasn't successful. I guess what I'm saying is that you guys are absolutely right.

@CrossFitNLattes I don't mean this as a dig . It is criticism but i dont mean any disrespect. If you are messaging ga pro for an appt, it doesn't take months to do. Is it possible you are being perceived as a time waster ? Also you have really specific clothing requirements and want sessions at your work place which may be off putting to some . Your language such as putting pros in parentheses and saying things the pro eventually caving to your clothing request can come across as a bit entitled and rigid . Just saying that these may be a barrier to your responses

  • @pmvines yes, it is definitely possible that I am being perceived as a time waster. There is no doubt in my mind now that you put it bluntly. I wasn't sure how to address the pros in this forum TBH. Is it proper English or not? I'm not actively seeking any longer as I have my cuddlers that I enjoy being with now and that have said that I'm a perfect gentleman.

  • Being poly, I have two partners I cuddle with, so usually I am snuggled up as often as I can be. Additionally I have 3 cats that require a lot of loving, trust me on that.

My life is a constant cuddle fest, in my personal life as an "enthusiast" and as a professional....and I enjoy it. my "bread and butter" as I lovingly call it.

    :)

I enjoy being close and near the energy of others and just feel the healing and joy and peace that comes with giving and receiving all at once.

  • I would prefer infrequent but regular and high quality ; over higher frequency but irregular and low quality.

  • I'm assuming an "enthusiast" is someone who is game to cuddle as often as the opportunity presents itself but does so without charging a fee? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I went 4 months during this without a single human touch. Nada. Zilch. None.

If I rightly guessed the definition of an "enthusiast" - then so long as you're not a creep, A-game on your personal hygeine, comfortable with me sometimes just wanting us to be silent - sign me up!* I'd happily stand outside my place and bear hug and be bear-hugged for days.

It's not natural to go that long without touch. I was starting to feel like I was becoming transparent. Gah. Awful.

*Reserving the right to include other must/must nots as this experience unfolds. 😎

    @PurpleFairy90
I’m a returning cuddler to this website. Jumped off for a relationship but it was not meant to be. I’m diehard loyal so all my cuddles go to my man but I digress... Originally signed up I think June 2019. My member name was softsupport. Then I was cuddling once to twice every week.

Coincidentally, it was never in my home town. I would drive anywhere as long it was not two hours or more to get there...otherwise was not worth my effort. Oh...and not scary.

Omg... to have someone to cuddle in my hometown and daily would be lovely 🤗😋
