  • If local spontaneous is cool if not local needs planning

I like at least a day ahead but sometimes especially with someone I am comfortable with spontaneous is ok.

  • Planned. Like a military operation.

A pro may not be offended if things go wrong, because I would pay in full anyway ; but I'd waste a lot of money.

A non-pro is likely to be much less forgiving, so I wouldn't get a second chance.

Traffic jams are unpredictable, parking areas can be full, venues can be closed, and messages can be misunderstood. I've had things go wrong too many times to take chances.

Of course, I never admit that, for risk of seeming too nerdy or neurotic.

I had a meet set up with a potential cuddle. We met at a McDonald's for coffee and conversation. The first hug set the tone for the whole thing. We literally sat and talked for less than 1/2 an hour when she said "Let's go cuddle." While I was surprised, I gladly agreed. I knew it was because we both felt extremely comfortable and safe with each other. It was almost as if we've known each other for a very long time . Our cuddle session was absolutely amazing! We connected when we hugged and it carried right through to our cuddle time. She has now become my absolute favorite cuddle!

  • I messaged someone a nonpro who just joined the site and within 12 minutes we were ion the phone and due to our location we were in each others arms 5 minutes after that and cuddled for 6 hours. Its upto the communication, connection, ones schedules and availability.. more often planning and more communication is needed.

You can only be spontaneous with a non-pro. How is it possible with a pro when you have to send a booking request then wait for a reply?

  • I hope @Mark and @SoulcuddlerZ read those last two postings, and feel suitably proud. 👍

I'm like the aunt at a wedding, who can't stop crying with joy at the happy couple. 😀

  • I personally would rather have it planned out so that my client in myself can fully be ready including brushing our teeth and showering and such like that. It doesn't make it feel like we're in a hurry if we plan it. I always a lot for extra time just in case my client wants extra time.

Planned because if it's anything else I'll likely have a lot more anxiety about it.

  • Plan until I'm comfortable, and them more planned than not planned

  • I think weddings are made deliberately complicated, so that the participants don't have any mental capacity left over, to worry about the commitment they are getting into. Cuddling is probably similar, so more planning helps that too.

I used to practice ballroom dancing, and found the steps so complicated, that I didn't have any mental capacity left to think, "OMG, I'm actually holding a woman !"

  • Planned is more likely to work for my schedule but I'm open to spontaneous if it works out. However, COVID. So like, spontaneous tea, walk, bike anyone?

  • I generally plan things out in advance in my work as a professional, but I will do spontaneous cuddles with a partner or a very close friend.

  • Planned, especially if I'm hosting because I want everything to be just right 🌌

  • @PurpleFairy90 I guess it depends what your definition of each is …. When you say planned are how far in advance are you talking ? To me personally I don’t consider same day last minute as long as the other person is given at least a few hours to plan & prepare ( and for me personally this time of year with my schedule is literally day by day as far as when I could be available so I can’t commit to things days in advance without fear of having to cancel or reschedule last minute ) but I know a lot of people especially pros don’t like same day appointments.

  • When I took the servey, I said spontanious. However, I was refering to what's done during a cuddle,, I do normally arrange a cuddle ahead of time.

  • Spontaneous is very difficult because it usually takes time to get all the information I need from another cuddler (name, photo, date, time, how many hours, location, vaccination status, etc). If someone actually read my profile and sent all that information in the first message, it would be SO much easier to set up a spontaneous cuddle session, but that has yet to happen unfortunately.

  • Spontaneous with a known or regular cuddle buddy!
Planned and plotted if first time!
Have to gather up the army, post soldiers in inconspicuous places with body armor 🤣

Spontaneous is a very sweet, almost romantic concept.

But in a realistic, respectful, and safe world “spontaneous” can only be accomplished with a LOT of careful, honest communication.

I might “spontaneously” bump into someone, sweep them up into my arms, carry them to the nearest soft place, lay them down gently, and start rubbing their calves and feet, but ONLY if I knew all of that was within their boundaries, AND that they knew (as did I) that they could simply say, “No really, stop. Red. Red. Red.” and I would immediately stop.

The problem with spontaneous is that it assumes consent, and assuming consent is reckless, selfish, and irresponsible.

Agh, erk, I can't do spontaneous! I hate it when people show up at my place unannounced, and I could never show up at someone else's place unannounced. I like predictability. Planning is my bae.

  • My reality is they're planned.

But there are a few out there in the CCverse, that if they messaged me saying they were in town and wanted me to come over for some snuggle time, and I was able to go, then sweet!!! That kind of spontaneity would be amazing!

In my fantasy world I have a short list of established cuddle buddies somewhat close by who I can message on the day or night of, and we'd be able get together within hours, without a mess of planning needed. And I'd have a "go-bag" full of our favorite snacks, my cuddle clothes and freshening up supplies ~ cause I'd never know when I might get the cuddle call too...

Also, @CharlesThePoet ~ I love what you said on this!!!

  • @happybear that was the BEST STORY EVER!!!!!! 😊😊😊

Makes so much sense!!! Thank you for this!

    @sillysassy
Glad you liked that story,😊 more often I like to plan a cuddle to make it special after talking for a while to get to know the person a bit.
Hearing a voice, getting a jist of someone's personality, Some sillyness and some Sassyness and a amazing accents lol , both people being present and wanting to meet communicating expectations, boundaries and consent make for a effortless cuddle experience. Cuddling is always the easy part. Looking forward to planning it with you lol 🧡

  • Spontaneous sometimes works but it’s very rare.
I was in Vegas a while ago and made a comment about a cuddlers profile picture.
She responded and we started chatting. We went back and forth for a while and she asked if I wanted to cuddle and I said of course. I told her what hotel I was staying in and she came over, met her at the lobby and we headed up to my room where we spent cuddling for a few hours before she had to go to work.
I want to note that we never exchanged pictures nor we exchanged phone numbers, everything was done on the CC message system and it turned out great.
We kept in touch and cuddled again when I came back in town.
So sometimes you take a leap and things work out.

  • @squeakytoy ❤️❤️❤️

    Planning is my bae

Truth be told I am 100% a planner. I love the chats and communication. Talking on the phone and staying connected. Working thing things into the schedule so that everything has a chance to get taken care of. I LOVE a countdown. The chance to look forward to something. There is beauty in leaving things open o the possibility like @quixotic_life said of “a cuddle go bag” so you can hop up at the spur of the moment and go…… but then again…. If you have a go bag prepared I suppose that means you are PLANNING 😂😂😂
@squeakytoy I would TOTALLY plan to meet you spontaneously when the Rona is all fizzled out!!
@happybear awwwwww 😊😊😊 (she says with a Colorado accent)

I’m a planner, especially when I have to work something around my irregular freelancer’s schedule and quality time with my family.

If there were such a venue where you could meet fellow enthusiasts to cuddle with, and I had already allotted the time, I might cuddle with someone in a heartbeat if I felt an instant trust in the person. When I was single there were times a mere smile would say “I’m available and interested” and a few words would seal the deal (for a hookup, that is). It worked for me beautifully back then. Maybe it would work for me for platonic cuddling as well… 🤔🤗

  • So I guess my question what is everyone’s definition as far as what do you call last minute ? In regards to time frame ? Day of , a few hours , 1 day notice I’m sure everyone is different. What you call spontaneous or last minute may not be what others consider spontaneous or last minute.

  • To me "last minute" has a range. It depends on the time frame of, and/or the amount of time needed to transition into, a new plan.
And if there's a lot of scrambling involved, that can feel very "last minute".

Also, things that fall into the, "Sorry, I can't now. This last minute thing came up..." is almost always something I'd rather be doing, or has conveniently got me out of something I wasn't really into to begin with.

all said as if I often have, "last minute" things coming up... lol... as if...

For the most part, imo, last minute is any unexpected happening that doesn't come with ample prep time.

  • I forgot to ask OP @PurpleFairy90 what is YOUR preference? What have you been able to glean from this interesting community thus far?

@quixotic_life PLEASE get your bag..... I'll be OTW in 5 minutes!!!!
