I love spontaneity, but when a pro is trying to do a cuddle tour so clients are not directly charged for hotel room, advanced notice is a Pro Cuddler’s Dream Come True!

The first push back I hear is: What if it’s a scam?

Definitely don’t do anything you are not comfortable with, our gut is good at alerting us. But, stop and assess: Look at the profile, read the karma, chat a bit. If someone has a lot of karma that’s a great sign! Is the karma fresh? Even better!

Can’t I just pay cash when we meet?

If we’ve built a client relationship, that’s a possibility. But especially the first time? It’s necessary. Cuddle Pros have other obligations, many have primary jobs and this is supplemental. I love going to a hotel for a night or two and schedule 2-4 cuddles. It only makes sense when I have 4-5 guaranteed hours a day. This covers my room, meals and any little expenses. Plus Pro Cuddlers pay Cuddle Comfort a % of scheduled appointments. If my operating costs eat my fee, it’s no longer profitable to be a job. Remember, this is a business... 95% of the time it’s a side business, but to be effective for all parties, it must be sustainable.

Cuddlers and clients work on a lot on faith. By respecting each other’s time and treating this like any other service that requires a deposit or credit card hold, we create a business relationship. And a good business is good for everyone!

So, this fall as it turns cold and we all want to cuddle more, make your Cuddle Pro’s Day by scheduling in advance and paying a deposit. You both will have something to look forward to!

    My feeling is that during the session, the risk is far greater on the female pro-cuddler than the male client ; so if paying up front puts the client at risk of losing their money to a scam, then the risk inequality is just ever-so-slightly redressed. Some of their expenses such as travel, may need to be paid in advance, and they might not have even a few dollars at hand for that.

    If I were looking for a regular pro, I'd be happy to meet with several, until I found a good match ; and unless I would cuddle with the bad matches "mechanically" to get my money's worth, I'd lose money anyway. Ditto if it was a pro that I met in passing, such as on a one-off foreign business trip ; I'd rather just have a conversation, than a cuddle which is fake on my part.

    A female pro-cuddler is like a bespoke wooden cabinet ; the "imperfections" show they are genuine, not plastic. Some people on this forum seem to looking for a "Stepford Wives" cuddler. Another good movie analogy would be "Cherry 2000" ; in which a man employs a female mercenary to get a replacement silicon chip for his "perfect" robotic wife, and ends up falling for the mercenary instead.

    @geoff1000 you are absolutely right about there is more risk for the woman. I generally meet in a public space prior to a cuddle. This helps set the tone.

    A nice way to build comfort before a cuddle session is a virtual cuddle. I recently tried cuddling in another city because I wanted to visit a good childhood friend of mine. Before I booked the trip, I tested the market. I had someone want a 6 hour cuddle. Before I booked my flight and hotel room, we had a 1 hour video chat. This calmed both of our worries. A few weeks later we had a wonderful cuddle 🥰

    I have had many men ask to meet for free. If I say yes to each invitation I would spend 1/4 or more of my day socializing and not earning.

    If I were 9 feet tall, I could probably earn good money as a professional basketball player ; and few people would mind. They might well pay for autographs, or to have their photograph taken with me.

    I do get "irked" by people complaining that women shouldn't earn money for cuddling ; because it is unfair that the genetic lottery gave them a second Y chromosome, instead of an X.

    The 9 feet basketball player will struggle to buy clothes or a car, and will regularly bang their head on doorways ; people sometimes forget that many "advantages" are, in other circumstances, disadvantages.
