What’s up with that “other” cuddling site?

  • I was on another site that took 40 or 50% . They call the fee a deposit. The pro for the cuddler being that the likelihood of the cuddle client cancelling was slim. What the sight didn't clearly articulate is that the cuddler doesn't receive that. The minimum that site allowed you to charge was $85 or $90. Most cuddlers charged $140 or $150 an hour since the site was taking such a large portion.

  • My guess is that clients wouldn't pay X dollars / hour to a pro-cuddler, in the hope of getting something ; which for the same money, they can guarantee from a sex worker.

Sex work is legal in my region but I think people sometimes still seek out pro cuddlers as they figure it's a cheaper option - a lot of escorts and sex workers charge around $300 an hour in the Canberra/ACT region (Australia), whereas pro cuddlers average at about $80 per hour. Perhaps it's also partly because people don't want to consciously admit to themselves they want sex, and it's easier to tolerate the idea of seeing a professional cuddler.

There is also the issue that some people are just lonely and are hoping it's an unconventional way into a romantic relationship. So it's not always just about getting sex but rather wanting more of a girlfriend experience.

  • No one should ever have to justify their fees or apologize for charging fees that some might view as exorbitant. Why is a woman who charges 200 for her cuddling services more likely to be viewed as suspect compared to one who charges 60? People do all sorts of things for different prices and different reasons. Someone smart once said that you don’t get what you deserve, you get what you negotiate. Power to you ladies!

There’s someone trying to charge 250 for virtual cuddles, lol. Just an edit here, looks like that profile is gone.

People can charge whatever they want. However, in my experience, quality of experience does not correlate with price, and it's perfectly natural to wonder why someone would pay $150 or more to cuddle when there are plenty of $100 or less options.

  • I know this isn’t forum related, but upon reading I had to view the profile, and @Jade_Elise i used to work with your doppelgänger.

A forum post which actually follows the thread along, is quite rare. It's a conversation, not a rigid discussion, we are here to get to know each other, not reach a conclusion ; so always feel free to pitch in with whatever's on your mind. 😊

We can easily start new threads.

Imagine posting baseless suspicions without evidence about professional cuddlers you’ve never met - on a board read by some of those very cuddlers - then wondering why it’s so hard to get responses 😂

  • @CaptainJed
I like the scene in "The Hunger Games", where Katniss Everdeen is being interviewed on the show that literally everyone in the country watches, and she says to the host, "Can you keep a secret ?"

People should assume that anyone they contact on the site, has read every unpleasant thing they ever posted.

  • Hopefully the lack of anonymity will encourage people to think before they post due to the potential ramifications. Who am I kidding?

One extra argument in favour of Free Speech, is that the world can see what people's views are. If street robbers all wore purple hi-viz vests, they wouldn't be nearly so dangerous.

I'm retracting my earlier request for reports based on price

Thank you everyone that went to the effort of looking for Pros to report based on my earlier comment in this thread. However, in hindsight reporting on price alone isn't turning out to be worthwhile. Particularly in a pandemic where some are temporarily increasing prices to what would previously be considered abnormal levels.

I had to post this after seeing mod resources being used at the expense of attention on serious violations.

In response to the request about NV, the brothels are a fair drive from Vegas, for instance, and since LVMPD has never had any intention on addressing prostitution in the city, where it is technically illegal, the brothels are not in the picture really. Further, the casinos dropped their room rates and parking fees to attract visitors, which has only brought in the gangs and clientele that the average visitor will not tolerate, so the area's drug/prostitution/crime has gone through the roof. Thugs control the casinos, all of them, right now.
As far as "cc", if that is the other site being referred to, and I can only relate to the Vegas area, all 6 cuddlers I met were all escorts, which you didn't find out until you were given your options when you met. Needless to say, I ended the sessions right there. Even after reporting them, all 6 are still active on that other site. In my area, that site is basically playing the role of pimp. Obviously, I shut down my profile there since. (This site needs to be more careful as I see them slowly creeping in here, too, and I have been told by a few cuddlers on this site that had men tell them of the exact same thing here that happened to me on the other site)
To repeat, I am referring to my market only, which I am sure is quite different than most. It is called Sin City for a very good reason, and the sins are more plentiful than ever before. LOL

As a followup, I would also like to add that numerous cuddlers have also mentioned that they have been asked, and have even been somewhat forced, a few times, to do more than just cuddle by some men. Both sides need to be very careful when screening, which won't always shine the light on the offenders, but it sure helps. I have learned, over time, that certain flags were missed, so I now "play dumb" with my questions, which usually does expose the cuddler's true colors. For the cuddlers, I have told by others that mace is a great accessory to put in the purse and works remarkably well. B)

I really can't understand why someone would go into a Burger King, to then order a Big Mac, when there's a McDonald's next door.

    I'm seriously baffled.

  • What’s the other cuddling site if anyone knows? I’ve only heard of this one.

@hcn170 I doubt they’re referring to CuddleConnect as I never had a bad experience on there. CuddleConnect even publishes a nice Cuddle Positions app that I also paid for and only deleted from my devices because of not being able to use the information it depicts for an indefinite period of time.

Though I was on SeekingCuddles which doesn’t appear to be 100% completely strictly platonic, CuddleCompanions, and even CuddleUp. CuddleCompanions has the highest-priced pros with long session minimums (3+ hours). I left all those sites due to lack of active members in my area and the higher prices than you ever see here on CuddleComfort. I liked the profile structure on CuddleUp but who’s available, the prices they charge and the distances between them and me all made it not a fit for me.

I’m a low-wage factory worker and could never afford more than a 1 hour session when it’s $120+ an hour. I can’t even afford to have a car on my income.

  • I have been on another site before this one and can tell you this:

    A) They made my base pay $80 and took half.

    B) There was no social aspect to the site. There was only my ad with face and short bio. They had to pick their top 2 choices, then request the site notify me via email. That's it.

I like it much better here. Here I can set my own rate, and try to get a feel for who I might be meeting via the site. Maybe people are charging more because they are trying to account for travel fees inclusive with the session price in the booking panel. Also maybe people are charging more because of the higher risk of Covid transmission during this pandemic. It's like hazard fee, and cuddles must be scarcer and therefore a higher demand for a scarcer commodity at this point in time.

  • @MizzKitty
    Their loss, our gain. 👍😊

  • @geoff1000 just came across - In full: Rowan Atkinson on free speech

  • I know it's not cuddling, but some massage therapists charge less than cuddling pros if cost is a concern. I've seen some that charge as low as $30 to $45 for a half hour massage. And there's a potential cost savings on gas as well as the ability to have enough left over to be generous with the tip :)

Checking out pros in my area, 1/3 of them are charging $150-$200 per hour. About 13% are below the $80 standard. I'm not familiar with any other sites, but it some like their prices are in line.
