Enthusiast - client - pro Member types Re : closed moderators discussion topic

I read in the closed moderator discussion , there exists three three types of members . This may a question more for the website , but I’ll put it out there . When a member signs up , there’s no declaration to make that identifies you as enthusiast or client , yet you have to request to be pro . A pros profile is identified by P . I don’t know if it would be useful to identify an enthusiasts profile as E , and a clients profile as C . I guess my question is why the division of an non pro into enthusiast or client . And I could see why a pro might like to know non pro profiles identified as a potential client , or , strictly enthusiast seeking non pro encounters . This way they wouldn’t waste time reaching out for business .
Has anyone have a thought ...

    Non-professionals are already identified by the absence of any symbol where the 'Pro' appears. (Negative information.) I am both an enthusiast and a client, and I'm not sure when, or even if, I made the transition from one to the other. Or in which direction.

    For some people, becoming a prospective client (never mind an actual client) is a significant emotional process. It is really helpful to stick a label on that?

    The distinction is more one of process, or the 'hat' you are wearing in a particular particular, than one of person. For example, I may Filter for 'only Pros', 'hide Pros' or 'Don't mind' depending on what I'm looking for at the time.

    It's important for the website to be able to distinguish between enthusiasts and clients because the behaviours are so different, from the websites' point of view. Enthusiasts do not create revenue: clients do. In other words, it probably would be useful for the site to have a way of identifying those members who have booked a session. (It may exist already.)

    I'm not sure that it would be particularly useful to other members to be able to make such a distinction. Not least because a responsible Pro who was looking to expand their business by contacting members would deliberately contact members who do not regard themselves as clients, in order to encourage them to consider it.

    I guess the site would want to leave the option wide open for those that want to be enthusiast but still choose to be a client now and again. Maybe?

    It would be easier to reach out to those that want to be reached by pros. I have sent messages to people that are far away from me and I have zero intention of trying to book them, I just wanted to talk or bring up something funny on their profile. But because I’m a pro, they never answer back. There are times where I genuinely just want to have a chat without business coming between. Maybe having this separation would make it easier for me to send messages saying “ hey, I know you’re labeled an enthusiast as opposed to client, but I just wanted to chat”. Who knows 🤷🏼‍♀️

    I guess cus someone who isn't a pro may be either a enthusiast or client and not necessarily just one or the other? Some people cuddle with both pros and non pros depending on what is available to them.

    ^ first listed shows it's primary (C first means okay for pros to solicit and E first means they solicit on their own/only other enthusiasts should contact them)

    @CuddleDuncan I don’t think there would be a difference between enthusiast member types or client member types classifying them as revenue makers or non revenue makers an enthusiast could become a client and generate revenue for the site , etc does that make sense

    @pmvines ~ really? I thought that made it really simple... But I'm figuring this would only show up in the instances where the P for Pros shows up and listed in the selector field when searching.

    If all our dreams came true and the site were flooded with new users (say five times what we have now) it would be nice to be able to pre-screen through the search fields (so for someone like me, we'd only select Enthusiasts to view). I might then see some who are also clients, but I'd know they're open to meeting with non-pros too.

    A Pro on the other hand would only select Clients.

    A Client might select any/all.

    I could see the benefit in searching clients (as another client) to check in and see who they'd recommend, or would stay away from too. As a female who wishes there were male pros, I'd like to know (if there were 5 to choose from) what someone else thought. Karma isn't always true (which surprised me) I've heard two stories now of an interaction with a pro that I would have thought would be a 1 star at best, but they gave them a 5 so they wouldn't get a negative review in return. Honestly, I don't get why they don't get posted at the same time so you can't base yours off of theirs.

    IDK to me it just makes sense to help with revenue, solicitation, etc. and to make search results more useful.

    I would guess the majority of people on this site (male and female) are neither pros, nor clients, nor enthusiasts.

    Seems like those could all fall under Enthusiast ~ in the sense that they might just be here to twirl their mustache or rub their hands together while thinking, "Well, well, well, now what do we have here...?"

    At first I was thinking there probably wouldn't be a real difference between C and E, as I'd think a client for pro cuddlers would also have no problem meeting enthusiasts. But I suppose there could be a reason to make the distinction - at least whether someone is open to meeting pro cuddlers or only wants to meet enthusiasts, or perhaps someone who'd only want to be a client for a pro cuddler.

    Again with the labels. Pro is a monetary description of a Cuddler. The other members of this site have a thousand possibilities for labels and we do not need a cyber label gun for each one. I think it is limiting and leads to preconceived notions. Part of the fun is to find out about the other person. We are not insects to be pinned to a board and puzzled out in a few words predetermined by a site owner.

    @FunCartel ~ Here's a list of 64... by comparison what we have here is quite short.

    But I get your point ~ Especially since the community is currently pretty small (at least here in stumptown anyway).
