Numerous organisations have produced lists over the years: 100 greatest films, 50 greatest comedies, that sort of thing. They are all different, obviously, but almost everything on those lists is worth watching.

Let Him Go, which is still in theaters (where open) is excellent. There's a lot to think about there. A very poignant character study, and very subdued but taut acting by all involved. The tension builds throughout, and the end is ... wow. Trying not to give too much away.
Not new but I watched Clockwork Orange the other night. I watch it about every five years and the themes from fifty years keep inching closer to non-fiction with each passing year which is horrifying. And then I saw Interview With a Vampire again and realized the movie is a metaphor for the pandemic. LeStat is the virus and in the end adapts and mutates. You can read it so many different ways pertaining to current times.

"Io la conoscevo bene" - Italian movie. It's on Youtube as "I Knew Her Well".
Synopsis: This prismatic portrait of the days and nights of a party girl in sixties Rome is a revelation. On the surface, I Knew Her Well, directed by Antonio Pietrangeli, plays like an inversion of La dolce vita with a woman at its center, following the gorgeous, seemingly liberated Adriana (Stefania Sandrelli) as she dallies with a wide variety of men, attends parties, goes to modeling gigs, and circulates among the rich and famous. But despite its often light tone, the film ultimately becomes a stealth portrait of a suffocating culture that dehumanizes people, especially women. A character study that never strays from its complicated central figure, while keeping us at an emotional remove, I Knew Her Well is one of the most overlooked films of the sixties, by turns funny, tragic, and altogether jaw-dropping.
Peanut Butter Falcon on Amazon Prime. If you want just a nice story, sort of like a Mark Twain story. With all the stress of COVID, I get tired of stressful movies and shows, and the isolation makes me not always in the mood for romance. This is just a flat out good movie. Nothing to get stressed or depressed about. ;-)
I also watched Peanut Butter Falcon not too long ago and thought it was enjoyable. Also, if you like the Bill & Ted movies, I watched Bill & Ted Face the Music after it came out. It looks like it's on Amazon Prime & other services right now renting for around $6 or so.
Butterfly effect / blow / Carlitos way ... I can’t wait to watch “honest thief” the trailer looks really good!
Extraction with Chris Hemsworth on Netflix. That movie will make your head spin with so much action and a great plot. Also noteworthy a 12 minute long, one shot action scene that will leave you breathless.
